The case of Rajasthan Police allegedly assaulting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Jaideep Bihani from Ganganagar has now gained momentum. BJP MLA Bihani alleged that three people attacked him during a public hearing at SD Bihani College in Jawahar Nagar area at around 11 am. At present the police have arrested all three accused.
Now the politics of the state has heated up regarding the matter. Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie has raised questions on the government regarding the assault on the MLA. Taking a jibe at the government, he said that a circus is going on in Rajasthan, not the government. He said that there is a double engine government in Rajasthan. Where there is an atmosphere of jungle raj and anarchy. Only MLAs are not safe.

Tikaram Julie targeted the government
Tikaram Julie said that the officers are beating the MLA. Tikaram Julie said that I think that CM Bhajan Lal must have understood by now what is the situation in the state. An MLA is being attacked openly.
The situation of increasing jungle raj and anarchy in Rajasthan is such that even the ruling BJP MLAs are not safe. He further said that in Sriganganagar, MLA Jaideep Bihani has been attacked by RUIDP officials due to which he has suffered injuries.
Bihani is an MLA of the ruling party, if he was beaten up in broad daylight then what is the fate of the common man? God is his only support. For how long will the Chief Minister continue to tour only while being in the air, only two and a half years are left, if not the common people then at least protect his MLAs.
MLA attacked during hearing
Jaideep Bihani said that during the hearing, an assistant engineer of Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP) along with two other people attacked him, due to which he suffered injuries on his eyes and face and also broke his spectacles.
Based on the MLA’s complaint, the police arrested Assistant Engineer Jaganlal Bairwa, Project Manager Shahnawaz and Sohail Parmar. Parmar is a planning manager associated with private company ‘Larsen & Toubro’. Police Officer Devendra Singh Rathore said that a case has been registered and investigation is being done.
He said that it is a matter of investigation whether this incident happened after the MLA allegedly abused him and whether the officers were also attacked during the incident. This public hearing was called to discuss the problems in drinking water supply in many areas of the city including the old population and Karanpur Road.
