LPG, CNG, PNG rates on April 4, 2026: Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, the prices of fuel used for homes and transportation across the country remains a major concern. Due to disruptions in energy supply globally, the prices of LPG, CNG and PNG are continuously fluctuating.
Amidst the current geopolitical tension, the supply of LPG is being closely monitored, although no information has been received yet about the stock being exhausted at the distributorship. This is because India imports more than 40 percent of its crude oil and 90 percent of its LPG from West Asian countries, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Today, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder are stable in the country. However, the government continues to provide subsidies under schemes like Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), which helps in reducing cost effectiveness for eligible families. Under this scheme, more than 10 crore low-income families have got gas connections.
