US Iran Peace Deal: US President Donald Trump claimed on Sunday that the peace deal with Iran is almost finalized and now only the final formalities are being negotiated. According to Trump, this agreement could pave the way for an end to the war that has been going on for three months. He said that after negotiations between America, Iran and many other countries, this agreement has reached the final stage.

Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that he also spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which was very positive. He said, “Separately, I spoke to Prime Minister Netanyahu, which was very good. The final points of the agreement are under discussion and will be announced soon.”

Iran’s big statement on Hormuz

Trump also said that the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened under the agreement. But Iran rejected this claim and said that it will maintain its control over Hormuz. According to reports, Iran has only agreed to allow as many ships to pass as before the war, but this cannot be considered completely free passage.

14 point peace agreement

Trump called it a Memorandum of Understanding, which includes many points related to peace. According to him, this agreement will be finalized only after the approval of America, Iran and other countries. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that the main focus of the talks is on ending the war. This includes issues like stopping maritime attacks and relaxing some restrictions.

No talk yet on nuclear program

There was no mention of Iran’s nuclear program in Trump’s peace message. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) described Trump’s statement as “propaganda” and said that no agreement or commitment has been made yet regarding the nuclear program.
