Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman is in the news these days. She often shares stories related to her films on social media. Meanwhile, he has shared a video of his film ‘Gawaahi’, in which he made a comeback after the break. She also narrated an interesting anecdote, in which she described herself as a ‘comeback queen’.
Zeenat Aman shared the story
While sharing a video of the film, Zeenat wrote, ‘How many times can a girl make a comeback? If I talk about it, the answer is probably countless times! ‘Gawaahi’ was shot in the year 1988. At that time, it had been two years since the birth of my elder son Azaan and it was just before the birth of my second son Jahaan.
The happy life that I had dreamed of at the peak of my career was slowly fading away. Both marriage and motherhood had come into my life, but cracks had started appearing in the married relationship.
‘Gawaahi’ was a low-budget courtroom drama.
She further wrote, ‘I had again started living with my mother in her flat in South Bombay with my younger son Azaan, when suddenly a script reached my doorstep. It was a low-budget courtroom drama based on Ayn Rand’s play ‘The Night of January 16’, which was brilliantly narrated to me by producer Vivek Vaswani and debut director Anant Balani. There was a time when I wanted to run away from films, but now I wanted to move away from my personal life and create an identity for myself other than just a daughter, mother and wife.

How was the story of the film?
About the film, she told, ‘My wonderful mother helped in taking care of Azaan and that is why I was able to play the role of Janhvi Kaul, who is accused of murder in ‘Gawaahi’. We shot the entire film in Mumbai and the cast of the film included actors like Shekhar Kapur and Ashutosh Gowarikar. I watched this film again last night and was reminded of how bold and different a murder mystery film was. Kaul is the ‘other woman’ of the story and the secretary of businessman Ranjit Chaudhary, whose story revolves around death.
Zeenat Aman is the comeback queen
Also, Zeenat told the fans, ‘If you like slowly progressing legal drama, emotions and twists, then this film can be worth watching. This interview clip is from the set of ‘Gawaahi’ and for me it is full of memorable feelings. After the birth of my son, I returned to films with this character, hence it was also called a comeback and even after that I have made many comebacks in life. Maybe you can call me the ‘Comeback Queen’. Let us tell you that the film ‘Gawaahi’ was released in 1989. Apart from this, Zeenat Aman was recently seen in ‘The Royals’, in which Ishaan Khattar and Bhumi Pednekar were in lead roles.
