‘I will never come into commentary because of those people…’, ruckus over Yuvraj Singh’s sharp statement

Many former cricketers including Irfan Pathan, Aakash Chopra and Parthiv Patel have taken up the profession of commentary. Even ‘Dada’ Sourav Ganguly is sometimes seen in the commentary box. But Yuvraj Singh is such a big name, who maintains distance from commentary work. Yuvraj himself has made a big revelation as to why he does not take up the profession of commentary, and he has held some people responsible for this.

According to Sports Tak, Yuvraj Singh revealed the biggest problem due to which he does not do commentary. He said that some people have made personal comments on him, this is a big reason why he avoids going to the comment box.

Because of those people…

Yuvraj Singh said, “Now that I have retired, I can talk about it openly. People who have sat and talked about me. Not on cricket, but on personal matters. If you are commenting on cricket, on the match, it is fine, but when you start talking on a personal level, then they are remembered. I do not want to sit with those people, who have talked about me personally. This is a big reason why I do commentary. I don’t.”

He did not take anyone’s name, but definitely made it clear that he does not want to come in the commentary because of some select people. After retirement from cricket career, Yuvraj Singh has worked with many Punjabi cricketers. The biggest name among these is that of Abhishek Sharma, whom the best bowlers of the world have started fearing. Apart from this, before the T20 World Cup 2026, he was seen with Sanju Samson and before the start of IPL 2026, he was also seen helping Rishabh Pant.
