US President Donald Trump has made a big statement on Iran’s enriched uranium. Trump said that the nuclear material (nuclear dust) should either be immediately handed over to America so that it can be completely destroyed there or as a better option, it should be destroyed at the same place in collaboration with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Donald Trump said in a post on his social media platform Truth Social that this process will be monitored in the presence of a nuclear agency, such as the Atomic Energy Commission or any similar international organization. He says that the entire action should be taken in a transparent manner so that the world can be confident that this nuclear material will not be used to make weapons.
There will be no agreement with America very soon – Iran
Iran says that no agreement is going to be reached with America very soon. Iran said on Monday that progress has been made in talks with America, but a deal is not being reached immediately. This comment of Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bakai comes after the statements of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Donald Trump claiming that the deal will be finalized very soon. Rubio had said that a compromise is possible between the two countries.
What did Ismail Bakai say?
Ismail Bakai said in Tehran on Monday that it is true that we have reached a conclusion on a large part of the issues under discussion. Talks are progressing, but it is not right to say that any agreement is going to be signed immediately. No one can make such a claim. He further said that the main focus in the current talks with America is on ending the war. He said that the nuclear issue and management of the Strait of Hormuz are not part of this MoU.
