Comedian Kunal Kamra raised sharp questions to the Censor Board after the film ‘Sutlej’ was removed from OTT and has also taken the government into the crossfire. He also talked about India of Nehru era. He has made a long post and asked why ‘Sutlej’ is being removed when films like ‘Kashmir Files’ are getting the red carpet.

Kunal Kamra posted questions
Kunal Kamra posted and wrote, ‘Mr. Prasoon Joshi, will you please tell why 127 cuts were recommended for the film ‘Punjab 95’? When the name of the same film was changed to ‘Sutlej’, it was removed from an OTT platform in less than two days. Whereas the Censor Board has no jurisdiction over OTT platforms or international releases.

He further said, “The story of Jaswant Singh Khalra was told in ‘Punjab 95’. Who had presented solid evidence of human rights violations in front of the world. And he had to pay the price for this with his life. If the Indian audience cannot watch a film based on documented facts, then it has every right to know why this is happening?

He further said, “Kashmir Files’, ‘Bengal Files’ and ‘Kerala Stories’ are getting the red carpet. Fictional documentaries like Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2 are being promoted, which justify unimaginable things. In Nehru’s India this matter would have been fought in the court. If filmmakers can’t tell the stories of those who fought for justice, then what kind of cinema are we encouraging them to make? Jaswant Singh Khalra was kidnapped once again and this time by the Censor Board.
Let us tell you that ‘Sutlej’ was streamed on OTT platform Zee5. But the film was removed by Sunday evening. After this Diljit Dosanjh also reacted. He is in the lead role in the film. Diljit said that now no one can stop the film. The film has reached every home of the people.
