In the third T20 being played at the Sports Club ground in Harare, India has given a target of 193 runs to Zimbabwe after playing first. For India, 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a stormy inning of 81 runs in 49 balls. However, he missed his first century in international cricket. Vaibhav hit 8 fours and 4 sixes.
At one time it seemed that Team India would easily cross 200, but the Indian team which had a strong start could not finish well. India scored only 47 runs in the last 5 overs. For Zimbabwe, Brad Evans took two wickets while Sikandar Raza, Wesley Madhevere and Blessing Muzarabani took one wicket each.
Abhishek Sharma flopped again, Muzarabani made a hat-trick to get out.
India’s star opener Abhishek Sharma also flopped in the third T20. Abhishek was out after scoring two runs in four balls. Blessing Muzarabani dismissed Abhishek Sharma in all three T20 matches of the series.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma started the innings for the Indian team. Abhishek again flopped and was out after scoring only 2 runs. Vaibhav and Ishan Kishan, who came at number three, handled the innings. Both the left-handed batsmen made a partnership of 75 runs in 50 balls for the second wicket, taking the team’s score to 95. Ishaan was out as the second wicket after scoring 29 runs in 26 balls.
Vaibhav added 50 runs for the third wicket with captain Shreyas Iyer, when it seemed that Vaibhav would complete his first T20 century, at the same time he was out on the score of 81. This was Vaibhav’s second international half-century. In this inning of 49 balls, Vaibhav hit 4 sixes and 8 fours. He completed fifty in 31 balls.
Shreyas Iyer once again could not convert a good start into a big innings. The Indian captain was out after scoring 27 runs in 18 balls. Tilak Verma scored unbeaten 11 off 9 balls and Rinku Singh scored 25 runs off 14 balls, taking the Indian team’s score to 192 for 5 wickets. Rinku was out on the last ball of the innings.
