The Embassy of India in Iran has reiterated its travel advisory for Indian citizens. The Embassy has said that in view of the current circumstances, Indian citizens should avoid traveling to Iran for the time being. The advisory issued by the Embassy said that in view of the recent incidents in the region, its previous advice to all Indian citizens to avoid traveling to Iran is reiterated. Along with this, Indian citizens who are currently present in Iran have been advised to exit the country as soon as possible using available means of transport.
The embassy pointed out that in view of the security situation in the area, it is necessary to exercise caution. In such a situation, Indian citizens have been advised to follow the official instructions issued by the local administration and the Indian Embassy. People planning to travel abroad have been advised to check the new government advisory before traveling and avoid non-essential travel until the situation normalizes. At the same time, Indian citizens living in Iran have been asked to plan to move to a safe place or exit the country through available transport options.

Airport closed in Iran
Amid increasing tensions between Iran and Israel, according to Iranian media, Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport and Western Iran’s Kermanshah International Airport have announced the cancellation of all flights until further notice. This decision has been taken after the security situation in the area deteriorated. According to reports, this announcement was made when reports of attacks by Israel this morning targeting Isfahan and Tabriz apart from Tehran came to light. The airport administration has appealed to passengers to confirm travel plans and keep an eye on official updates until further notice.
Iran-Israel tension increased further
According to reports, a state of alert remained in Jerusalem as well as the areas around Ramallah and the Dead Sea after Iran fired rockets at Israel. Claims of attacks and retaliation have been made from various parties. Additionally, Yemen’s rebel group has also claimed to target sensitive targets in Israel’s Jaffa area.
