The 56th match of IPL 2026 was played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. This competition was to get the first place in the points table, and GT won it. GT reached first place in the points table after defeating SRH by 82 runs. This is GT’s fifth consecutive win.
SRH chose bowling after winning the toss. Batting first, Gujarat scored 168 runs for 5 wickets. SRH, who set out to achieve the target of 169 runs, was all out for 86 runs in 14.5 overs and lost the match by 82 runs. Kagiso Rabada of GT, who took 3 wickets for 28 runs in 4 overs, was the player of the match.

Mumbai Indians are at ninth position with 6 points from 11 matches and Lucknow Super Giants are at tenth position with 6 points from 11 matches. Mumbai and Lucknow are out of the playoff round.
Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad is the top scorer with 508 runs in 12 matches and he holds the Orange Cap. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has a purple cap. Bhuvneshwar has taken 21 wickets in 11 matches.
