Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) young fast bowler Rasikh Salam Dar is very happy to contribute to the team’s victory. Rasikh says that he wants to continue performing like this in future also. RCB is scheduled to clash with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
In the last match played against Mumbai Indians, Rasikh Salam’s performance with the ball was excellent. He bowled brilliantly in the high-scoring match and took the wicket of Naman Dhir by giving away just 23 runs in a spell of 2.5 overs. RCB had won against Mumbai Indians by 18 runs and currently the team is at third position on the points table with 6 points.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the match against LSG, Rasikh said, “The win against Mumbai Indians was important for us and we are feeling very confident as a team. We are very clear about our roles and what we have to do, and we are very excited to play on our home ground on Wednesday.”
Regarding making a comeback in the IPL after a long time, Rasikh said, “I was playing an IPL match after a long time, but my method of preparation remained the same. The hard work we have done in the last one year was all about preparing ourselves for different situations of the match and in the last match, I concentrated completely on executing the plans I had made on the field.”
Rasikh is part of an experienced bowling attack, which includes veteran players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya. Talking about his role in the team and Hazlewood’s presence, he said, “I always want to help the team. Hazlewood is a very big player and an important part of the team. I try my best to contribute to the team wherever I can.”
Royal Challengers Bangalore is currently at the third position in the points table and by registering a win against LSG, the team will enter the field with the intention of reaching the first position in the table. At the same time, LSG is at seventh place in the points table with two wins and two losses. RCB has had the upper hand against Lucknow Super Giants. A total of 6 matches have been played between the two teams. Out of these, RCB has won 4 matches, while LSG has won 2 matches. Last season, in the clash between the two teams in IPL 2025, RCB performed brilliantly and won by 6 wickets.
