During this period his strike rate was 300. Vaibhav had also taken on veteran bowlers like Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal, while posting a post about Vaibhav on the social media platform Let us tell you that the record of making the youngest debut for Team India (men’s team) is held in the name of Sachin Tendulkar, who made his international debut at the age of 16.

He further wrote, “It is very rare to get a chance to select such a talented and such a young player. Obviously, he deserves to be named as the youngest player to debut for India.”
Orange cap in IPL 2026
After playing four matches in the season, Vaibhav has won the Orange Cap by scoring the most runs. In four innings of four matches, Vaibhav has scored 200 runs at an average of 50 and strike rate of 266.67. During this period, he has scored 2 half-centuries. Vaibhav has hit 18 fours and 18 sixes so far.
