US Iran Conflict: Tension seems to be increasing once again in West Asia. Amidst the ongoing conflict between America and Iran, Iran has taken a big step in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have claimed that three oil tankers that ignored warnings in Hormuz were targeted and stopped a few hours ago. Along with this, Iran has made it clear that ships of any country or company using its seized assets will not be allowed to pass through Hormuz.

Claim to stop three oil tankers

According to Iran’s state TV, the Revolutionary Guards have claimed that three oil tankers that ignored warnings in the Strait of Hormuz were targeted and stopped a few hours ago. This step has been taken at a time when there is already tension in the area.

A big warning was given just a few hours ago

Just hours before this action, Iran had issued a warning to countries and shipping companies around the world. Iran had said that if any country or company used Iranian assets seized by the US, its ships would not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Controversy increased after Trump’s decision

Iran’s top military command ‘Khatam al-Anbia’ issued this warning while reacting to the recent decision of US President Donald Trump. In fact, Trump had recently said that the ships that were damaged during the war would be compensated from Iran’s seized assets. After this statement, Iran has adopted a tough stance.

Iranian Foreign Minister cited international rules

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, posting on social media platform

‘Nobody’s property will be safe’

Araghchi said in his post that freezing a country’s assets for future claims is a provocative step. He said that those who will avail the benefits of such funds should remember that if governments make freezing of assets a normal procedure, then the assets of any country or institution will not be safe in future. He said that the chaos arising from this will not be in anyone’s interest and it will affect the global system.

Iranian military spokesperson warned America

Iranian military command spokesman Ibrahim Zulfikari on Tuesday completely rejected the American proposal. He said that the US President has announced that the ships damaged while passing through the unsafe Strait of Hormuz will be compensated from Iran’s seized assets.
