Iran will take Khamenei’s body to the land of the ‘arch enemy’ with whom it fought a bloody war for 8 years.

Khamenei’s funeral procession has reached ‘Qom’, the city which is the center of Shia religious education. The important thing is that now his body will go to the country with which there was a bloody war for 8 years. Iran will take Khamenei’s body to Iraq and it is being discussed all over the world.

Late on Monday (6 July), mourners gathered in large numbers around the Jamkaran Mosque to pay tribute to Khamenei. According to state television, he will be paid tribute there on Tuesday. Earlier on Monday, black-clad mourners gathered in large numbers in Iran’s capital Tehran for Khamenei’s funeral procession. There was a crowd of people demanding the death of US President Donald Trump.

Khamenei’s body will go to Iraq

Khamenei’s mortal remains may go to Iraq on July 8. During this time, religious leaders will pay tribute to him in the Shia holy cities of Najaf and Karbala. The important thing is that the war between Iran and Iraq lasted for 8 years. Both the countries were involved in a bloody conflict from 1980 to 1988. The then President of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, attacked Iran in 1980. There was a revolution in Iran in 1979, Saddam was afraid that this revolution might reach the Shia dominated areas of Iraq.

People pelted Trump posters with stones

A large number of people have gathered in the Jamkaran Mosque in Qom city of Iran. Khamenei’s mortal remains will be kept in this mosque before being taken to Karbala (Iraq). After this, he will be buried in his home city Mashhad on 9th July. During Khamenei’s funeral, people were seen throwing stones at Trump’s poster. The important thing is that this was exactly the same scene as seen while stoning the devil in Mecca-Medina.
