Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian has arrived on a one-day visit to Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on Tuesday (June 23, 2026). The purpose of his visit is to take forward the peace agreement between America and Iran. This is Pejeshkian’s second visit to Pakistan after becoming the President of Iran, while this is his first visit after the US-Iran peace agreement.

Iranian President Pejeshkian, who reached Islamabad with a high level delegation, will meet with his Pakistani counterpart President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Senate Chairman and Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly.

What did Pejeshkian say before going to Islamabad??

According to Iranian government news channel Press TV, the President of Iran reached Islamabad by special plane ‘Minab 168’. This aircraft has been named in memory of the 168 students who died in previous US attacks on Iran.

Before leaving for Islamabad, Pejeshkian told Press TV that the purpose of his visit is to ensure full implementation of the MoU as per international law. This agreement will help in strengthening stability and security in West Asia.
