How did you first meet Lata Mangeshkar?
Regarding her first meeting with Lata Mangeshkar, Anuradha Paudwal says, ‘Before I met her, I was called to sing in All India Radio. Before that there was a recording at Arun ji’s place. Lata ji sang a song and it was arranged by Arun ji. I had gone there to listen to that song and while listening to that song, I remembered it and also brought that paper home. Then it was recorded and everyone’s calls started coming. The specialty of that song was that it was a non-released song. Which song should a music director give to a new singer like me? I didn’t know he would have such an impact. My luck had brightened with this song.
It is noteworthy that Anuradha Paudwal started her career as a singer in the 1970s. He sang many devotional songs with T-Series and also sang many songs in films. Even today he is liked a lot for his songs and voice.
