Kanpur Airport Incident: A serious accident occurred during a training flight at Chakeri Airport in Kanpur. On the night of June 26, after night flying training, a trainee pilot went down before the plane’s engine stopped completely. During this time, she got hit by the propeller of the plane and got injured. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
According to DGCA), the accident happened with twin engine Tecnam P2006T aircraft (registration number VT-NBV) of Garg Aviation. A flight instructor and a cadet were on board the plane. Landing took place after the completion of the night training flight but the engine was still running. Meanwhile, the trainee pilot got off the plane and got injured in his back after being hit by the moving propeller.
DGCA has immediately started investigation after the incident.
After the incident, DGCA has immediately started investigation. The flight instructor concerned has been removed from training duty until the investigation is completed. The plane in which the accident occurred has also not been allowed to fly until the investigation is completed. DGCA says that the entire matter is being investigated in detail.

How did the pilot get permission to land the plane?
Now the biggest question is that when the engine and propeller of the aircraft were not completely stopped, then how did the trainee pilot get permission to land from the aircraft? The investigation will also see whether security procedures were followed or whether there was negligence. Only after the investigation report of DGCA comes, the real reason and responsibility of the accident will be clear.
The injured pilot is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Kanpur. Till now, no detailed medical bulletin has been issued by the hospital regarding his health condition. DGCA’s investigation is ongoing and further action will be decided after the report comes.
