Sanjay Kapoor died on 12 June 2025 at the age of 53. His demise had left the entire family in shock. Today, even after a year has passed, his wife Priya Sachdev has not been able to get out of this pain and keeps sharing posts related to Sanjay. Meanwhile, Priya Sachdev shared a post on her Instagram and wrote an emotional note, in which she remembered her late husband.

Priya wrote with a photo of Sanjay, ‘It has been a year since you left us, but even today your presence shows us the way to move forward every day. You never believed in staying at one place. You always lived life with full enthusiasm, curiosity and confidence. You inspired people around you to dream big, work hard and better themselves.
He further wrote, ‘You will always be loved and always remembered. Your ideals, the people whose lives you touched and the love you gave openly, are your biggest identity today. Your love is our strength even today and your memories are a blessing to us. Apart from this, he wrote in the caption, ‘A year has passed without you, but even today, the first thought that comes to me as soon as I wake up in the morning is you and the last thought before sleeping at night is also you.’

How did Sanjay Kapoor die?
Let us tell you that Sanjay died while playing polo in London. However, according to initial reports, he suffered a heart attack. But some reports suggested that he had suffered a severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock). His mother Rani Kapoor raised many questions about Sanjay’s sudden demise, after which the medical examination in Britain also clarified that his death was natural.
Priya and Sanjay’s relationship
Talking about the relationship between Priya and Sanjay, both of them got married in 2017. They have a son, whose name is Azarius Kapoor. Priya’s first marriage was to Vikram Chatwal, with whom she has a daughter, Safira Chatwal. However, after the divorce in 2011, it was Sanjay who took care of Safira along with Priya. Sanjay Kapoor was earlier married to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani, but both separated in 2000. Sanjay married Karisma Kapoor in 2003, but they got divorced in 2016.

Dispute over property worth Rs 30 thousand crores
After Sanjay Kapoor’s death, a new debate broke out between Karisma Kapoor’s children and Priya Sachdev, which has not been resolved till now. The matter is about distribution of Sanjay’s property worth Rs 30,000 crore. Karisma Kapoor’s children claim that they have not got their full share in this. But Priya Sachdev denies this. The matter is going on in the court. However, regarding this controversy, Karishma says that she is not involved in all this and is fighting for the rights of the children.
