In May 2025, a 2-Test series was played between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Playing at home, Bangladesh created history by winning the series 2-0. This series was in the news more because of Mohammad Rizwan and Liton Das than Bangladesh’s victory. Both were seen arguing on the field several times and after the end of the series, Rizwan did not even shake hands with Liton Das. Now Das has openly expressed his reaction on this subject.
That thing stung me – Liton Das
Liton Das described Mohammad Rizwan’s actions as unprofessional. Liton Das regretted that if Rizwan had any personal problem with him, he could have just ignored him, but it was not right to insult the entire team.
Liton Das said, ‘One thing hurt me a lot. No matter what happens on the field, once the match is over everyone should shake hands. After the first defeat, Rizwan did not come to shake hands, which was very wrong behaviour. No matter how big a player is, such an incident should not happen, whether it is defeat or victory.
insulted bangladesh team
Expressing his displeasure, Liton Das said that Mohammad Rizwan should have shown respect towards the Bangladesh team by shaking hands with the other players. “When they play us next time, will they expect some good behavior from us? They have insulted the Bangladesh team,” Das said.
Let us remind you that Bangladesh won the first test by a margin of 104 runs, while in the second test it won by 78 runs. This was the first time in the history of Test cricket that Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in a home series.
