Seeing the presence of security forces and strict action, the infiltrators crossed the LoC and ran back. While fleeing, they left behind their backpack at the spot, which contained a large quantity of arms and ammunition.

When security forces searched the backpack, two AK rifles, two AK magazines, 256 rounds of 7.62×39 mm cartridges, one Tokarev Type-54 pistol, two pistol magazines, five live hand grenades, a bag and five packets of cigarettes made in Pakistan were recovered.
