How much will be the fee for loss of passport?
Now, after these new rates, if your passport is lost, stolen or gets damaged due to some reason and you have to get a new passport made, then now you will have to pay the fees as per the new rates. According to the new fee structure, if a 36-page ordinary passport is lost, stolen or damaged, now a fee of Rs 5000 will have to be paid. Till now this fee was Rs 3000, now it has been increased by Rs 2000.
So, if a passport containing 60 pages is lost or gets damaged, then the fees for that has also been increased. Now for this you will have to pay a fee of Rs 6000. Till now this fee was Rs 3500. But from July 1, it is going to be increased by Rs 2500.
