Delhi Capitals has defeated Punjab Kings by 3 wickets. Ashutosh Sharma and Madhav Tiwari created havoc in the death overs and led Delhi to victory and kept its playoff hopes alive. On the other hand, Punjab Kings team had to face its fourth consecutive defeat. Delhi team achieved the target of 211 runs in 19 overs.

When Akshar was out after scoring 56 runs in 30 balls, Delhi’s score was 138/5 in 14 overs. DC team had to score 68 runs in the last 5 overs to win.

Miller-Ashutosh overturned the match

Delhi had to score 68 runs in the last 5 overs, the responsibility for this was taken up by David Miller and Ashutosh Sharma. First David Miller changed gears in batting. At one time Miller was playing after scoring 28 runs in 20 balls and after 7 balls he had completed his fifty. Miller was out after scoring 51 runs, but Delhi’s troubles had not diminished.

Then Ashutosh Sharma and Madhav Tiwari scored 19 runs in the over of Marcus Stoinis, which included one four and 2 sixes. 17 runs were needed in the last 12 balls. 11 runs had come in Yash Thakur’s over before the wicket of Ashutosh Sharma fell. Ashutosh was out after scoring 24 runs in 10 balls. Aaqib Nabi came and hit a four on the no-ball and then hit a six on the free hit, ensuring Delhi’s victory.
