Set against the backdrop of rural Andhra Pradesh in the 1980s, ‘Peddi’ is the story of a village that unites its community through sports and stands up against powerful rivals. The rural setting of the film, emotional story and strong acting of Ram Charan have been liked very much by the audience, that is why this film is succeeding in attracting the audience in theatres.
Let us tell you that this film made a solid start at the box office and earned Rs 18.50 crore from paid previews and registered a huge earning of Rs 51 crore on the first day itself. On the second day also it maintained its pace and earned Rs 26.90 crore and on the third day it collected Rs 28.85 crore. After this, it became a storm on Sunday and a tremendous increase has been seen in its collections.
- According to the early trend reports of Saknilk, ‘Peddi’ has earned Rs 31.55 crore on the fourth day of its release i.e. Sunday.

‘Peddi’ Flanked ‘The Raja Saab’ on the fourth day
Ram Charan’s previous film ‘Game Changer’ received tremendous buzz before its release, but it could not live up to the expectations. Its journey proved to be a flop at the box office and it had earned only Rs 131.2 crore in its lifetime. ‘Peddi’ has left this film behind in just four days. Not only this, on Sunday this film has defeated Prabhas’s ‘The Raja Saab’ by 146.04 crores and it has become the second biggest Telugu film of the year. Now it is believed that Shankar Vara is behind only Prasad Garu (220.99 crores).
