LPG-PNG Rules: Due to the ongoing war between Iran and the US, crude oil prices are increasing globally. Due to which the prices of petrol and diesel are continuously increasing in India also. Not only this but shortage of gas is also being seen. In such a situation, the government has now made a master plan to control it. Under which changes have been made in the rules of gas connection and LPG supply.

In fact, on Monday, the Central Government has made an important change in the rules related to LPG i.e. cooking gas. This change will provide relief to lakhs of consumers whose PNG i.e. Piped Natural Gas connection has been installed in their homes and they were confused about the LPG connection. Under the new rules, consumers who have LPG connection and also purchase PNG will have two options.

What will be the two options?
The first option is that they can get their LPG connection closed within 30 days of getting the PNG connection.
The second and new option is that they can take a transfer voucher with the help of which they can get their LPG connection restarted if they move to a non-PNG area in future.
These people will benefit from the change
This change was especially important for those people whose jobs are transferable, like government employees, bank employees or people in the private sector who often move from one city to another. Apart from this, tenants, students and migrant families can also take advantage of this facility.
