RBI Warning Message: Does any of your friends, colleagues or acquaintances ask you to deposit his/her money in your account? Then he will take the money back after a few days, in return you are lured to give money? If you are also getting a similar offer then you need to be more careful than getting greedy. We are not saying this, rather the central bank RBI is alerting the customers.
What is the whole matter?
Actually, a message is being sent to many people from the official WhatsApp number of the central bank RBI. In which people are being instructed to be careful and alert. This message reads, ‘Is someone luring you to earn easy money in exchange for using your bank account? Don’t be a carrier of illegal money!’

What is ‘illegal money carrier’?
RBI has also explained the meaning of ‘illegal money carrier’ in this message. He said, ‘Illegal money carrier is a person who transfers illegally earned money on behalf of someone else or transports it from one place to another’. Along with this, RBI has told the people that if you have a bank account then your money should be in it.
RBI gave tips
Apart from this, while alerting the people, RBI has written in some points:
- Do not allow anyone else to use your bank account to send money.
- Allowing money to be received or sent through your bank account can land you in jail.
- Never share your account details, OTP or password with anyone.
- Protect your account. Protect yourself.
- Never take the risk of earning easy money.
