What is the whole matter?
When a result comes, the first thing students do is download their marksheet or collect it from the school. Many times the letters in the name get mistaken. The month or year in the date of birth changes or the names of the parents are printed slightly differently. These mistakes mostly happen while filling school forms or in board data entry, which can become a big problem in the future. Actually, if the documents do not match in job, admission, passport or any government work, then there is a problem. In such a situation, check the mark sheet immediately after the result is declared and if you see any mistake, immediately start the correction process.
How to get Rajasthan Board mark sheet corrected?
The process of marksheet correction in Rajasthan Board is of two types. If the mistake is small, like a spelling mistake or a typing error, it can be easily corrected through school. If there is a complete change of name or there is a major change in the date of birth, some additional documents are required. The board has started an online portal for this, through which students can apply sitting at home. You will have to fill the form by clicking there.
This process is very easy
If there is a mistake in your mark sheet, first contact the school. Give a written application to the principal of your school. Explain clearly which details are wrong in the mark sheet and what should be correct. The school will check its records and forward it to the board. Applying through the school speeds up the process because the board considers the school’s record as the basis. Don’t worry even if the school is old or you have given the exam many years ago. Correction is also possible for old mark sheets.
These documents are necessary
- Copy of original mark sheet
- Aadhar Card (yours and parents’)
- Birth certificate (from Municipal Corporation or Tehsil)
- School Admission Register or Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Affidavit (notarized)
- If name is to be changed completely then copy of newspaper advertisement and gazette notification.
Online process is also very easy
The online process to correct marksheet mistakes is very easy. For this, login to the board’s portal. Fill your roll number, name and other details. Enter correct details in the wrong place. Scan and upload the documents. Pay the fees through online payment. After submitting the application, you will get a tracking number through which you can check the status. The board usually releases the new marksheet in a few weeks or months. It is worth noting that for small mistakes, an affidavit is sufficient, but for changing the date of birth, the board investigates and sometimes may call you to the board office, Ajmer.
