Most Times Out on First Ball of IPL Match: A shameful record has been added to the name of Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Phil Salt. He has become the batsman who has been dismissed the most number of times on the first ball of the match in IPL. Jofra Archer took his wicket on the first ball of the match against Rajasthan Royals. However, the shameful record of being out on the first ball of the innings in IPL is in the name of India’s Parthiv Patel.
Virat Kohli and Phil Salt came to open the rain-affected match played at Baraspara Stadium in Guwahati. Joffra Archer bowled the first ball of the match which had tremendous bounce along with speed. Salt dodged the bounce and the ball took the edge of his bat and went into the hands of wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel.
Phil Salt made a shameful record
This was the third time in the history of the Indian Premier League that Phil Salt was out on the first ball of the innings. Before him, Dwayne Smith, KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw have also been out on the first ball of the innings thrice each. Whereas Parthiv Patel has been out on the first ball of the innings 4 times. This is the record for the first ball of the innings, but Phil Salt has become the batsman who has been out on zero the most number of times on the first ball of the match.

On the other hand, Joffra Archer has also made a place in a special list. Archer’s name has been added to the list of those bowlers who have taken the maximum number of wickets on the first ball of the innings in the IPL. Archer has taken wicket on the first ball of IPL innings thrice so far. Mohammed Shami has taken the maximum number of wickets on the first ball of the innings, he has done so 5 times.
