A great opportunity has emerged for the youth who are dreaming of becoming officers in the Indian Navy. Indian Navy has released the official notification for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer Recruitment 2026. Under this recruitment drive, eligible candidates will be selected for a total of 275 posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through online mode. The application process has started and candidates can submit their application form till 27th July 2026.
This recruitment is being conducted for various branches. This is a golden opportunity for those candidates who have completed engineering studies and want to make a career in the defense sector. Applications will be accepted through online mode only.
Who can apply?
Candidates applying for SSC Officer posts must have a bachelor’s degree in BE/B.Tech with minimum 60 percent marks from a recognized university or institute in India. Apart from this, other educational qualifications have also been prescribed according to the concerned branch, which candidates can see in the official notification.

Candidates applying for this recruitment should be born between 2 July 2002 to 1 July 2008. There may be slight variation in the age limit for different branches.

What will the selection process be like??
Candidates will be selected in several stages. First of all, after scrutiny of the application forms, the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of academic performance. Selected candidates will be called for SSB interview through email or SMS. SSB interview will consist of psychological test, group activities and personal interview. Candidates who are successful in this stage will have to undergo medical examination. The final merit list of the candidates who successfully complete all the stages will be released.
