Former head coach of India Ravi Shastri has praised Rohit Sharma’s brilliant century in the Lord’s ODI against England. Shastri said that Rohit has given a befitting reply to the critics with his bat. Ashwin said that Rohit Sharma is no longer playing to prove anything to anyone. According to him, ‘Rohit no longer needs to prove himself to anyone. His only motivation is that he wants to play the 2027 ODI World Cup. He is preparing himself for the same goal.

In the third ODI against England, Rohit Sharma scored 138 runs in 110 balls. During this, he made a partnership of 147 runs with Shubman Gill for the first wicket and 113 runs with Virat Kohli for the second wicket. However, despite his brilliant innings, India could not succeed in winning the match and the series.
