In the last six months, Ukraine has claimed to have carried out more than eight (08) lakh drone attacks on Russia. These include FPV drones that can selectively kill Russian soldiers to functional drones that can strike at long ranges (2500 kilometers). Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov himself has made this claim.

According to Fedorov, from January this year till now (June 21), different drone units of the Ukrainian Army carried out these attacks on Russia, which are attacks from 90 percent of the battlefield. In the month of May alone, 1.81 lakh drone attacks were carried out. Fedorov also released a video along with his claims, in which Ukrainian drones are seen targeting Russian soldiers, tanks and bunkers.

Ukraine has claimed to have caused huge damage to Russia through drone warfare. Actually, Ukraine has manufactured millions of First Person Drones (FPV). These very small drones are equipped with grenades or bombs and target Russian soldiers on the battlefield. Apart from this, Russians drop grenades on tanks, military vehicles, bunkers and soldiers’ barracks. These drones have created panic in the Russian army.

Along with FPV drones, Ukraine has also developed suicide drones with a range of 2500 km. In such a situation, these drones go far away from the border and attack important military bases, oil refineries and oil terminals in the Russian capital Moscow, St. Petersburg and other areas. Russia is suffering huge losses due to these attacks. On Monday, Ukraine attacked a large chip and semiconductor plant used in the Kinzhal hypersonic missile in the city of Voronezh in western Russia. Ukraine also targeted a Russian oil depot and the radar of the S-400 missile system in Crimea.

On the other hand, Russia’s counterattack is mostly through ballistic missiles, which have been successful in causing tremendous destruction in Ukraine’s capital Kiev and other big cities. The Russian Infantry Army is advancing in Donbass and Kherson provinces and is busy capturing villages and cities on Ukrainian soil. But Russia is suffering huge losses in these attacks. On Monday, US Ambassador to the United Nations Don Negera also called for stopping the war, saying that time is not on Moscow’s side because every week during the war, 40 thousand Russian soldiers are losing their lives. In such a situation, Russia and Ukraine should immediately stop the war and prepare for peace.
