World renowned Islamic educational institution Darul Uloom Deoband has taken a strict step to maintain the discipline and level of education of the students. The management of the institute has completely banned the use of multimedia (Android/Smartphones) mobile phones for all the students living in the hostel. The management has made it clear that if any student is found with a phone, he can be expelled with immediate effect.
The rule will apply to all new and old students
In the order issued by the Darul Uloom management, it has been clearly stated that this rule will apply equally to everyone. Whether a student is taking fresh admission in the institute or he is an old student already studying, no one will be able to keep a multimedia mobile phone with him. It has also been made clear in the order that whether the phone is in working condition or has been kept switched off, if it is recovered from the student during a surprise search, then the same student will be held completely responsible for it.
‘Akhraj’ action will take place
The management has taken a strict stand against indiscipline and warned that strict punitive action will be taken against students who violate this rule. If any student secretly keeps a multimedia phone, then strict action will be taken against him up to ‘Akhraj’ i.e. expulsion from the institute.
‘Concentrate on books, stay away from misconceptions’
On this order, Deobandi Ulema Qari Ishaq Gora said that the institute had issued similar instructions last year also. He said that the main objective of Darul Uloom is that the ‘Talaba’ (students) who get education here should devote their entire time and attention only to books and stay away from the mischief of mobile phones. Qari Ishaq clarified that every madrasa, mosque or college has its own separate rules and regulations, to maintain which such orders are issued from time to time.
