The scorching heat and heatwave in Uttar Pradesh is showing no sign of abating. The condition is so bad that it has become difficult for people to even leave their homes in the scorching heat. Along with the days, the nights have also started getting hotter. Even today, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of heat wave in 35 districts of the state. The mercury is expected to rise by 2-4 degrees in the coming days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Uttar Pradesh will remain dry even on Wednesday, April 22. During this period, there is a possibility of strong gusty heat waves during the day. There is no possibility of relief from the scorching heat and heat wave across the state till April 25. A mild western disturbance seems to be active from 26th April. Due to which the weather will change and there may be rain in some districts of Western UP on April 27.
The temperature will increase further in the next five days
At present, there is no hope of respite from the scorching heat of the sun in UP. The heat may increase further in the next five days and the maximum temperature is expected to increase by 2-4 degrees. The heat is expected to increase at night also. There will be an increase in temperature in the entire state including the capital Lucknow. The mercury may reach beyond 44 in Lucknow in the next day or two.
These are the hottest districts of the state
Prayagraj and Varanasi were the hottest districts in the last 24 hours. Because of the clear sky here, the scorching sun is shining. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in these districts was recorded above 44 degrees. The scorching heat continued in Sultanpur, Banda and Azamgarh also. The scorching heat throughout the day in these districts has made the situation miserable. In these districts also the mercury remained between 42-44 degrees.

Extreme heat continues to wreak havoc in Agra
Noida and Ghaziabad will also be affected by heat wave and severe heat today. The sky is very clear in these districts and the maximum temperature here today will be around 40 degrees. At the same time, Agra, Mathura and Firozabad are also experiencing extreme heat these days. Due to the scorching sun, these districts are burning like a furnace. The maximum temperature in these districts remains at 42 degrees.
Today the Meteorological Department has issued forecast for Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, Pratapgarh, Ayodhya, Amethi, Barabanki, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Yellow alert of heat wave has been issued in Bahraich, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Shahjahanpur and Pilibhit.
According to meteorologists, the heat in the year 2026 may break all previous records. This time the monsoon is also expected to be below normal. If the monsoon remains weak this time, it can cause big problems for the farmers.
