Share Market: Will blockade Hormuz! Stock market frightened by Trump’s new threats, Sensex fell by more than 1600 points

Share Market Today: Indian stock market started with a decline today due to failure of talks between Tehran and America in Islamabad to end the war in Iran and rise in crude oil prices. Dalal Street’s benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty both appear to be under pressure today.

On one hand, BSE’s 30-share sensitive index Sensex is trading around the level of 75937 with a fall of 1613 points. At the same time, Nifty 50 of National Stock Exchange has fallen by 461 points and slipped below the important support zone of 23589 points.

Why did the stock market fall?

  • After Trump’s threats of siege of Hormuz and failure of the peace agreement between America and Iran, crude oil prices crossed 100 dollars. Since India is a big importer of oil, the increase in prices is no less than a shock for the market.
  • Obviously, if oil becomes expensive, the prices of petrol and diesel will also increase. Due to this, expenditure on logistics and transportation will also increase, due to which inflation is likely to increase.
