Stock Market Today: There is a strong rise in the Indian stock market on Wednesday, April 1, the third trading day of the week. There is a rise in the major benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50.
The 30-share BSE Sensex index opened with a gain of 1814.88 points or 2.52 percent. Sensex started the day at the level of 73,762.43. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 also started the day positive. Nifty 50 jumped 567.60 points or 2.54 percent and opened at the level of 22,899.00.
By around 9:20 am, the Sensex was trading at 73,795 points with a gain of 1848 points. Whereas Nifty 50 had jumped 568 points and was trading at the level of 22,899.

Trent, Bajaj Finance, Adaniport, IndiGo and L&T were the top gainers from the BSE basket.
How was the market on Monday?
There was a strong decline in the Indian stock market on the trading day of Monday, March 30. Major benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 ended the day trading in the red. Sensex fell by 1635.67 points or 2.22 percent to 71,947.55 points, while NSE Nifty 50 slipped by 488.20 points or 2.14 percent and closed at the level of 22,331.40.
PowerGrid was the top gainer from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, Bajaj Finserv, SBIN, Indigo, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank were.
There was a decline in the shares of Nifty 100, Nifty Auto, Nifty Smallcap 100, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Bank, Nifty IT and Nifty Midcap 100. On Monday’s trading day, 29 shares from BSE basket closed in the red and 1 share registered a rise.
