How does energy disappear while roaming in the summer sun?

Traveling in the sun in summer has a direct impact on the body due to the high temperature. When you are in the sun, your body sweats more to keep itself cool. In this process, water and essential electrolytes get removed from the body, which leads to dehydration. Due to lack of water, blood circulation slows down and the body does not get the right amount of oxygen and nutrition, due to which fatigue, weakness and dizziness occur. Apart from this, body temperature increases in strong sunlight, due to which the heart has to work harder and energy is spent faster. This is the reason that even after staying in the sun for a while in summer, the body quickly feels tired and lethargic.

What to do to keep energy active throughout the day

1. Keep the body hydrated – The most important thing in summer is to avoid dehydration in the body. Keep drinking water little by little throughout the day. Don’t wait to feel thirsty. Apart from this, you can also take drinks like coconut water, lemon water, buttermilk and ORS. These fulfill the deficiency of essential minerals and salt in the body. Also eat fruits like watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber and orange because they are rich in water.

2. Change your diet – In the summer season, eat light and proper food for digestion. Fried, spicy and oily food increases heat in the body. You should include curd, salad, moong dal and green vegetables in your diet. Also, eating soaked almonds and banana in the morning provides instant energy to the body and removes weakness.

3. Sun protection – Try not to go out between 12 noon and 4 pm, because the sun is at its strongest at this time. If it is necessary to go out, cover your head with a cap, scarf or umbrella. Wear light colored loose and cotton clothes, which keeps the body cool.
