Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav is struggling with very poor form. So much so that speculations about him snatching the captaincy of the Indian team have started gaining momentum. His performance has also not been very good for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. Surya has so far been able to score 157 runs by playing 7 matches in the current season. Meanwhile, former cricketer Wasim Jaffer warned Suryakumar Yadav regarding technique and also gave a special advice.
Wasim Jaffer told that now all the teams know the playing style of Suryakumar Yadav. The bowlers are holding such line and length, due to which Surya is not able to play his trademark shot backwards. While giving advice, Jaffer said that Surya should play more shots towards the front.
Suryakumar Yadav’s weakness caught
Wasim Jaffer said through social media post that Suryakumar is getting out in the same way every time. Everyone knows how much Surya likes to play backward shots. Jaffer said that all the teams know this, hence the fielding is set in such a way that Surya is not able to play shots on the leg side and behind the wicket.
Need for Plan B
Veteran cricketer Wasim Jaffer, while advising Suryakumar Yadav, said that he now needs Plan B. Surya should now try to play shots towards the front or towards the covers. Wasim Jaffer said in strong words that Surya has become predictable and he needs to get rid of this problem. He further said that Surya is such a good player that he should not fall into the same trap and get out every time.
