Shubman Gill played the last T20 match for India against South Africa in December 2025. He was also not selected for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Gill told how he keeps himself mentally fresh? Gill said, “I think preparation is what keeps me mentally fresh, knowing what I have to do in the next week, the next few weeks or the next series or the next tournament and preparing for that.”

If we look at Gill’s T20 International career, till now he has played 36 matches in the format. Batting in 36 innings of these matches, Gill has scored 869 runs at an average of 28.03 and strike rate of 138.59. During this period, he scored 1 century and 3 half-centuries, in which the high score was 126* runs. Now it will be interesting to see when Gill returns to the Indian T20 team.
