Political temperature has started rising in Bengal. On Wednesday, Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee had a two and a half hour meeting with the Election Commission on the issue of SIR. During this, serious allegations were made against the Central Government and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He said, ‘The answers to the five questions asked last time have not been received. No response was received except on two or three issues. The names of 1 crore 36 lakh people are in doubt, we asked questions about them, but their list has not been given yet.

How many Bangladeshis and Rohingyas were among those whose names were deleted?

He said, ‘If someone is above 60 years of age and is ill, instead of calling him to the Election Commission office, verification can also be done by going to his home. The allegation being made by BJP is that there are 1 crore Rohingyas and Bangladeshis, out of the 58 lakh names that are being removed, how many Bangladeshis and Rohingyas are there? An answer has been sought.

He said, ‘The names which are being removed without asking ERO. The question was asked that the name of the person who did not fill the form should be deleted, but how is the name of the person who filled the form being deleted?

‘The one who knows how to conduct elections is stealing the voter list’

Abhishek Banerjee said, ‘Whoever knows how to conduct elections is stealing from the voter list. There is theft in the voter list. If Congress had caught this then BJP would have lost in Haryana, Maharashtra, Delhi and Bihar. The government runs through government circulars and notifications, but the Indian government wants to run India through WhatsApp.

He said, ‘The Election Commission wants to run the country through the Election Commission. They do not want to issue any notification because they know that after doing so, all political parties have the right to take it to court and challenge it.

‘We did not get accurate answers to our questions’

He said, ‘We discussed eight to ten issues. The meeting started at 12 noon and lasted for about two and a half hours. Last time, about a month ago on November 28, a 10-member delegation of our party had come here. We had asked five questions to the Election Commission, but we did not get an accurate answer to even one of them. The same night the Election Commission selectively leaked information to some journalists and claimed that they had answered every question. Immediately after this, I had tweeted saying that Trinamool Congress has digital evidence and the Election Commission had not answered any of our questions.

He said, ‘This time too we did not get any clarity on any issue except two-three points. When I ask him about SIR, he diverts the conversation to the issue of citizenship. No concrete answer was found on any question. He was talking to us by pointing fingers, I said you are nominated and we are elected.

He asked, ‘After the draft list, we have come to know that 89% of the people have been mapped. Who is responsible for the mentality of demeaning Bengal?

‘Gyanesh Kumar was sent to destroy the country’

Before becoming the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar was the Cooperative Secretary in the Cooperative Ministry. Suddenly he is made the Chief Election Commissioner, he was sent here so that he can ruin the country. Can destroy this constitutional institution.

‘Amit Shah also targeted’

During this, Abhishek Banerjee also targeted Home Minister Amit Shah. He said, ‘Use as much strength as you want, we will win the elections, the public is with us, if Congress had caught hold of this, then Congress would not have lost the elections. I would ask all the opposition parties to take this issue seriously, the votes are not being stolen from the EVMs, they are being stolen from the voter list.

He said, ‘Never before this had the voters been put under a cloud of doubt. Earlier the voters used to decide whose government will be formed and who will become the Prime Minister, but now the government and the Prime Minister decide who will become the voters.

‘You won’t have to take to the streets just to be seen on TV’

On the question of ABP News alleging Rahul Gandhi’s vote theft, Abhishek Banerjee said that if you want to raise the issue then you will have to take to the streets and your workers will have to work. Nothing is achieved just by appearing on TV and making allegations, if you keep saying anything while sitting on TV then it will not stop vote theft. When the final voter list comes and there are irregularities in it, the fight will not end there, then we will take the fight forward legally.

In a major action on Friday (21 November 2025), ED raided 44 locations simultaneously in the coal scam case in West Bengal and Jharkhand. This action was taken under the Money Laundering Act. ED teams recovered cash and gold and jewelery worth more than Rs 14 crore during these raids. Apart from this, many important documents have been found, which include property papers, agreements related to land purchase and sale, digital devices and book accounts of many companies. These documents are being said to be related to the coal syndicate.

In Jharkhand, ED raided 20 places in Dhanbad and Dumka, which are said to be linked to Lal Bahadur Singh, Anil Goyal, Sanjay Khema, Amar Mandal and their people. Raids were conducted at 24 locations in West Bengal, including Durgapur, Purulia, Howrah and Kolkata. Here raids were conducted on houses, offices, coke plants and illegal toll collection centres. These hideouts are said to be linked to Narendra Khadka, Krishna Murari Kayal, Yudhishthir Ghosh, Raj Kishore Yadav, Lokesh Singh, Chinmay Mandal, Nirad Baran Mandal and others. More than 100 ED officers were involved in this entire operation and CRPF was also deployed for security.

ED investigation based on multiple FIRs

The ED investigation is based on several FIRs, which were registered by West Bengal and Jharkhand Police in cases of illegal coal mining and smuggling. Investigation has revealed that a big network was stealing coal and sending it from Jharkhand to Bengal, that too without any valid document. The records and documents found in the raid have confirmed these allegations.

What did ED find in the raid?

ED has also recovered diaries and registers during the raid, in which complete accounts of illegally recovered money and its distribution are recorded. This also revealed that this syndicate was getting help at the local level. About 7.9 lakh metric tonnes of coal and coal products were found in three coke plants of West Bengal, which are said to be stored illegally. ED has said that the investigation is ongoing and further action may be taken.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested the accused who threatened the famous comedian and actor Kapil Sharma. The accused has been identified as Dilip Chaudhary, who has been caught from 24 Parganas in West Bengal.

According to the police, Dileep had sent a call and video to Kapil Sharma’s close to a ransom of Rs 1 crore. The accused described themselves as gangster Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara gang.

Police is making inquiry

The accused sent several mails and videos between September 22-23. The Mumbai Police is now investigating whether the accused really had any connection with these gangs or it was only a conspiracy to intimidate and make money. After the arrest, the police is questioning the accused.

After arresting the accused from West Bengal, he was brought to Mumbai. Here the police produced him in the court, after which the court ordered the accused to be kept in the custody of the crime branch till 30 September.

Firing on Kapil Sharma’s cafe
Let us know that there was firing some time ago at Comedian Kapil Sharma’s Cafe in Canada. The incident of firing twice in Kapil’s ‘Caps Cafe’ created a sensation.

The responsibility of this firing on August 7 last month was taken by Goldie Dhillon and Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A post viral on social media claimed that Kapil was warned on the first phone, which he ignored.

After this, the cafe was attacked and threatened that if he still does not believe, the next action will be in Mumbai. This threat has increased the concern of security agencies.

Second firing on Caps Cafe
Earlier, in the first firing held in July, Harjit Singh, who was associated with Babbar Khalsa, fired 9 bullets on the cafe. The cafe was closed at that time, so there were no casualties. That attack was linked to the comments made on the costumes of Nihang Sikhs on Kapil’s show.

After the second firing, the Crime Branch will now question Kapil Sharma again. Also, it is being investigated whether the gang members had done Reiki around Kapil’s house or shooting set.

The British built many magnificent buildings while ruling India. Victoria Memorial, the best building of Bengal, comes in the list of these buildings. The building built in memory of Rani Victoria was famous as a presidency jail at a time. This 184 feet tall was made from Makrana Marble. This building, which was built as Taj Mahal, was also known as Taj Mahal in Bengal. But do you know why this white building was painted black during the second world war. Let us tell you in detail about this.

How did Calcutta join the Second World War?

In fact, during the second world war in 1943, India had to become a part of this war due to Britain’s colony included in the Elide faction. Being the center of military preparation of the Axis faction, Japan fiercely bombed the city of Calcutta in India. All these attacks were often carried out at night, so that the British army could not protect it.

Why did blackout take place in Calcutta?

Troubled by the continuous attacks by Japan, the British were not getting any break. Also, due to these attacks, many essential buildings and infrastructure in the city were also destroyed. People troubled by the bombing started covering their homes, vehicles and street lights with black color. But the biggest question was still how to save the Victoria Memorial called the pride of Calcutta.

How to save Victoria Mamorial?

The British government took a historic decision in view of the devastation caused by the dangerous attacks of Japan’s Air Force. To save this precious gem of architecture, it was painted black, so that the Japanese army could not see it at night and it would be saved. Eventually, this trick to hide Victoria Mamorial from the Japanese army invasion came in handy.

How was Victoria Mamorial done black?

In order to make this beautiful white building black, with the help of a mixture of clay and dung instead of pucca colors, the British government completely banned the photography around the essential places of the city as a precaution to save this secret plan from leaking at any cost and thus the Victoria Memorials built in India were saved.

Kolkata law college case: The incident of gang rape with a student at Kolkata Law College has shocked not only Bengal but the whole country. The police have arrested three accused in this case, Manop Mishra, Promit Mukherjee and Zaid Ahmed. Apart from this, a security guard has also been detained. An SIT has been set up to investigate the case,

Sukanta Majumdar released from jail

The BJP attacked the Mamta government by linking the matter to women’s safety, stating the national question. Bengal BJP Chief and Union Minister Dr. Sukanta Majumdar led the protest march in Kolkata. An attempt was made to take out a three -kilometer long march from Gariahat intersection to Law College, but the police stopped it and took 32 activists, including Majumdar, into custody. Meanwhile, Sukanta Majumdar was released by the Bengal Police on Sunday morning. Majumdar refused to sign for bail, saying, “If I have to arrest again and again for the safety of the daughters of Bengal, I am ready.”

Controversial statement of TMC leaders, Mahua Moitra Latada

After the incident, the statements of TMC leaders Madan Mitra and Kalyan Banerjee caused heavy damage to the party’s image. Madan Mitra said that if the student had taken anyone with her, this incident would not have happened.

TMC MP Mahua Moitra reacted sharply to anti -women statements. She wrote on X (Twitter), “Every party has anti-women thinking people, but TMC does not tolerate such people. The party has officially distanced distance from these statements and has described them as personal opinions. However, despite this, TMC’s internal discord and leadership difficulties have come out.

BJP formed team for investigation

The BJP has constituted a four -member inquiry committee from Delhi, which includes Biplab Deb, Meenakshi Lekhi, Manan Mishra and Satyapal Singh. This team will visit the state and submit a report of facts to the party high command. Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari has made serious allegations against the college administration and education department. He said that “Principal in colleges is appointed from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee’s office and not from the Education Department.

4 arrested so far in law college case

Police arrested a security guard on Saturday (June 28, 2025) in the case of alleged gang -raping a first -year student of a Law College in Kolkata earlier this week. Amid increasing public outrage over this incident, Kolkata Police has formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the case.
West Bengal Violence: The protest against the new Waqf Act in Murshidabad in West Bengal turned into violence. There was a clash between the police and the protesters. The protesters blocked the road and set the police on fire. Initially, the police asked the protesters to protest at one place, but suddenly the protesters started going ahead of the place mentioned.

Police fired tear gas shells

During this time, a scuffle with the police started. The protesters tried to move forward by breaking the barricades. After this, the police also used light force. According to the policeman, a large number of police have been called on the spot to control the situation. The police also had to leave tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. It is being told that many policemen have also been injured in this violence.

Suddenly the crowd became violent

This program was already decided against the Waqf law. Suddenly the protests that were in a peaceful manner turned into violence. The protesters also had a scuffle with the first police. It is seen in the video that many protesters have reached the spot with sticks and sticks in their hands.
