However, BPSC could get real constitutional status after the implementation of the Indian Constitution on 26 January 1950. Under Article 315 of the Constitution, provision for Public Service Commissions has been made for the Union and the States. Where was the headquarters before?

In the initial days of establishment, the headquarters of BPSC was located in Ranchi, because at that time Ranchi used to be a part of Bihar state. Later, the state government decided to shift the headquarters of the commission from Ranchi to Patna. After this, on March 1, 1951, the headquarters of BPSC was officially shifted to Patna.

Who was the first chairman?

TRE-4 not mentioned in BPSC calendar

They said that there is no mention of TRE-4 in BPSC’s calendar 2026 whereas Education Minister Sunil Kumar had said that the advertisement will be released by the end of January. On the other hand, under the Right to Education Act (RTE), the last date for online registration for enrollment in Class-1 in private schools has now been extended to 15th February. Earlier this date was fixed as 31 January. Parents will now be able to apply on Gyandeep portal till 15th February.

According to the newly determined schedule, verification of the applications received will be done by 18th February, while online school allotment of the verified students will be done on 23rd February. Enrollment of selected students will be done in the respective schools from 24th February to 10th March. Bihar’s Women and Child Development Corporation (WCDC) has launched the Civil Services Incentive Scheme, under which a lump sum incentive amount of Rs 50,000 will be given to eligible female candidates. Its objective is to increase and encourage the candidature of women in Bihar Public Service Commission.
