There is an atmosphere of tension after the demonstration at Jantar Mantar in the capital Delhi and the violent incidents of July 20. The protests by students regarding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the NEET controversy are becoming increasingly fierce. In view of this environment, Delhi University (DU) administration has taken a strict administrative step. The university has issued an official advisory to all its students and teaching staff, in which it is strictly prohibited to participate in any demonstration or protest meeting at Jantar Mantar.

Permission to stay away from Jantar Mantar protest

Delhi University administration has issued a notice on X (earlier Twitter) and appealed to all its students and teachers not to be a part of any protest going on at Jantar Mantar. The university has made it clear that in the current circumstances it is extremely important to give top priority to one’s personal safety. In view of the recent police clashes and tense situation at Jantar Mantar, the administration does not want the students of the campus to become victims of any kind of risk or physical injury. Therefore, students have been advised to maintain distance from disputed sites.

There may be a negative impact on studies and career.

The university says that participation in any kind of violent or illegal protests hinders the academic activities of the students. Continued involvement in such movements not only leads to loss of studies but can also have a deep negative impact on the future and professional opportunities of the students. The university has said that getting entangled in disciplinary or legal matters can tarnish the career records of students, which in turn can permanently affect their chances of getting jobs or higher education in the country and abroad.

Strict action against taking part in illegal protest

The university administration has issued a warning and made it very clear that if anyone breaks the rules, he will not be spared. If any student or teacher of Delhi University is found involved in any illegal demonstration or unauthorized gathering organized at Jantar Mantar, then strict legal and disciplinary action will be taken against him as per rules. In case of violation of university rules and laws of the country, FIR can be registered against the concerned person along with strict punitive action like expulsion from the institute can also be taken.

Political agitation has intensified in the country regarding the incident of NEET paper leak. The students protesting at Jantar Mantar under the leadership of Cockroach Janata Party are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the protest is going on continuously. Now the entire opposition party is unanimously pressurizing the Union Minister to step down. Amidst all this controversy and political turmoil, people talk about the educational qualifications of the education ministers of India and neighboring country Pakistan.

Education Minister of India and his degree

Talking about the education of India’s Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, he has obtained a postgraduate degree in the field of higher education. Dharmendra Pradhan, who hails from Talcher city of Angul district of Odisha, obtained MA (Master of Arts) degree in Anthropology from the prestigious Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in the year 1990. Before that he had completed his graduation degree from Talcher College. He had presented complete details of his educational qualifications in his election affidavit filed during the 2024 general elections.

Journey from student politics to national level

Dharmendra Pradhan was born on 26 June 1969 in Talcher, Odisha. He had entered active politics since his college days. During his student days, he joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and was elected president of the student union at Talcher College. After this, he joined the mainstream politics of Bharatiya Janata Party by continuously leading student and youth movements. After handling many important responsibilities in the organization, he reached an important post like Education Ministry in the Union Cabinet.

Education Minister of Pakistan and his qualifications

The Federal Education and Vocational Training Minister of neighboring country Pakistan is Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. His educational background is related to the medical field. Dr. Khalid Maqbool obtained his MBBS medical degree from the famous Sindh Medical College, Karachi (now known as Jinnah Sindh Medical University) in the year 1989. After completing his medical studies in Karachi, he became active in the field of politics and joined the prominent leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Party.

Who is more educated among the education ministers of both the countries?

If a direct comparison is made of the degrees and fields of study of the education ministers of both the countries, then while India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has a Master of Science degree in Anthropology, Pakistan’s Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui is a professional medical graduate. Both the leaders completed their higher education in the late 1980s and started their political careers through student politics.
