Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the exam schedule for GD Constable Recruitment 2026. There is a relief news for lakhs of candidates. Through this examination, there will be selection for posts like constable in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, SSF and Assam Rifles. According to official information, SSC GD exam will run from 27 April 2026 to the end of May 2026. The examination will be conducted in four main phases/weeks namely 27 April-2 May, 4-9 May, 18-23 May, and 25-30 May 2026. Also, candidates can choose the exam slot of their choice by visiting the official website ssc.gov.in from 11 April to 15 April 2026.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The examination will be computer based (CBE) in several stages. In which there are 80 multiple choice questions (MCQs), in which the paper has a total of 160 marks and the time given is 60 minutes. After this, in the second phase, the candidates who pass CBT will have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Test.

General Intelligence & Reasoning: 20 questions (40 marks)
General Knowledge & Awareness: 20 questions (40 marks)
Elementary Mathematics: 20 questions (40 marks)
English/Hindi: 20 questions (40 marks)
There is also negative marking in which 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Every citizen of India can give SSC GD exam, for this the candidate must have passed 10th from a recognized board. Whereas the age limit for general category is 18 to 23 years, in which OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets upper age relaxation of 5 years, under which 18 to 26 years for OBC and 18 to 28 years for SC/ST have been fixed. Apart from this, in physical standards, minimum height is required to be 170 cm for men, 157 cm for women and 80 cm chest for men.

Registration for JEE Advanced starts from 23rd April, exam will be held on 17th May

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released important information related to the examination and registration of JEE Advanced 2026. This year the examination will be conducted on 17 May 2026. Indian candidates will be able to apply online from April 23 to May 2, while the registration process for foreign candidates will start from April 6, 2026. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website jeeadv.ac.in.

What qualification is required?

To appear in JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must pass Paper-1 of JEE Main 2026 and only the top 2.5 lakh candidates will be able to appear in this examination. The candidate must have appeared for the 12th class examination for the first time in 2025 or 2026. It is mandatory to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th. Apart from this, candidates can appear for JEE Advanced exam only a maximum of two times and these attempts should be made in two consecutive years. Candidates who have already got admission in any IIT will not be eligible for this examination.

How much will the application fee cost?

The application fee for JEE Advanced 2026 has been decided differently according to the category. The application fee for Indian women candidates and SC, ST and PwD candidates has been kept at Rs 1600. Whereas General and OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 3200. A separate fee has also been fixed for foreign candidates, in which the application fee has been fixed at US $ 100 for candidates from SAARC countries and US $ 200 for candidates from other countries.

When will the admit card be released?
Admit card for JEE Advanced 2026 will be released on the official website from 11 May 2026. Candidates will be able to download their admit card from 11th May to 17th May 2026.

The examination will be conducted in two shifts on 17 May 2026.

First paper from 9 am to 12 noon

Second paper from 2:30 pm to 5:50 pm
To be included in the merit list, it will be mandatory for the candidates to appear in both the papers.

How to apply

Candidates should first go to the official website jeeadv.ac.in.

After this login with JEE Main 2026 application number and password.

After login, candidates should fill their required information.

Select maximum eight options for exam city.

Select the language of question paper from Hindi or English.

After this the candidates should upload the necessary documents.

Deposit the application fee.

After submitting the application form, download the confirmation page and keep it safe.

Notification of Maharashtra TET 2025 released, know everything from merit to application process

The admit card of Maha TET 2025 will be released on 10 November. After this, the examination will be conducted on 23 November throughout Maharashtra. The exam will be in two shifts. The first shift will be from 10:30 am to 1 pm, in which paper will be held for teachers teaching from class 1 to 5. The second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 5 pm, which will include the candidates teaching from class 6 to 8.

The minimum educational qualification for this examination is kept separately according to the post. For Paper 1, the candidate must have 12th pass and should have a D.Ed or B.ED degree. Candidates for Paper 2 should be 12th pass or graduate and it is mandatory to have D.Ed or B.ED. If a candidate wants to apply for both papers, then it is necessary to have a D.Ed or B.ED degree with 12th pass or graduation.

Fees for Maha TET exam have also been kept separately. If a candidate only applies for paper 1 or paper 2, then he will have to deposit a fee of Rs 700. At the same time, if a candidate wants to apply for both papers, then he will have to pay a total of Rs 900. Fees can be paid through online only.

The exam pattern of Maha Tet will remain the same as before. Paper 1 will be asked questions from topics like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Maths and Environmental Studies. There will be 30-30 questions from each subject and a total paper of 150 marks will be there.

At the same time, Paper 2 will also have questions from Child Development and Pedagrow, Language 1 and Language 2. Apart from this, the candidate has to choose a subject from maths and science or social science according to his ability. There will also be a total of 150 questions in this paper and maximum marks will remain 150.

In this recruitment process, the selection of candidates will be on the basis of written examination and document verification. First of all, there will be a written test, in which successful candidates will be called for document verification. Only after all the documents are found correct, the selection of the candidate will be considered confirmed.
