<div id="article-hstick-inner">
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="90" data-end="489">In view of the increasing threat of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Deepfake technique, the Denmark government has prepared to bring strict laws to curb it. This law will declare fake audio-videos made using someone&#8217;s voice or image as a punishable offense. Denmark is going to become the first country in the world to do so, which is expected that the misuse of this technology will be curbed.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;" data-start="491" data-end="512">What is Deepfake?</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="513" data-end="827">Deepfake is an advanced technique, in which fake video or audio is prepared by mimicking a person&#8217;s voice or facial with the help of AI and machine learning. It is edited in such a way that it looks like real, while in reality it is completely fake. The words Deepfake are formed by mixing &#8216;Deep Learning&#8217; and &#8216;Fake&#8217;.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;" data-start="829" data-end="865">How does Deepfake Technology work?</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="866" data-end="952">Deepfake Technology mainly works on two algorithms &#8211; Encoder and Decoder.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="956" data-end="1056"><strong>Encoder:</strong> It learns the pattern of gesture and voice by analyzing the real person&#8217;s pictures and videos.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1059" data-end="1184"><strong>Decoder:</strong> It mixes the information learned in another video or audio in such a way that the fake clip looks exactly real.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1186" data-end="1217">Danger is increasing due to deepfake</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1218" data-end="1279">Many serious threats have been revealed by the misuse of Deepfake Technology:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1283" data-end="1370"><strong>Political lies:</strong> The public can be misled by fake videos of leaders in elections.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1373" data-end="1452"><strong>Social Blackmailing:</strong> People can be maligned by making fake porn videos.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1455" data-end="1521"><strong>Fake news:</strong> Riots can be provoked through fake videos.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1524" data-end="1605"><strong>Cybercrime:</strong> It can also be used in identity theft and banking fraud.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1607" data-end="1641">What is the new Denmark law?</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1642" data-end="1691">Under the law proposed by the government of Denmark:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1694" data-end="1777">Creating Deepfake Content using someone&#8217;s voice or image will be considered a crime.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1780" data-end="1836">Deepfake video or audio will be punished hard.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1839" data-end="1897">It will be mandatory for social media companies to remove such content.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1899" data-end="1927">Measures to prevent Deepfake</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1930" data-end="1979">-Do not share any sensational video without investigation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="1982" data-end="2013">-Confirm the source of the video.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="2016" data-end="2069">-Use tools like Google Reverse Image Search.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="2072" data-end="2118">-Report out the content on social media.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;" data-start="2120" data-end="2148">Concern globally</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;" data-start="2149" data-end="2443">Not only Denmark, countries like America, India and European Union are also worried about Deepfake Technology. It is now considered an issue related to national security. International organizations have demanded a global framework, so that every country can implement strict laws against Deepfake at its level.</p>
<p>                                                                                                <!-- input-->
