Petrol Diesel Price: The prices of petrol and diesel have increased only in the last month. Due to which the burden on the public has increased considerably. The increase in fuel prices has not only led to operational inflation but has also increased the prices of everyday items. The public still fears that fuel prices are going to increase further in the coming days. Meanwhile, the government has made some other plan to reduce the burden of the public a little. People will heave a sigh of relief just after reading this news.

Government is helping
In fact, to stop the impact of inflation on the people, the government itself is paying crores of rupees to the oil companies (OMCs). So that the prices of petrol and diesel do not increase for several days. According to the report of news agency PTI, the government is giving about Rs 1.23 lakh crore to oil companies, so that there is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for 78 days.

Government sources also told PTI that the Fertilizer Minister has demanded doubling of the fertilizer subsidy of Rs 1.77 lakh crore fixed for the financial year 2027. This step has been taken at a time when the government is struggling with rising subsidies and energy costs in different sectors.

Subsidy on LPG cylinder reduced
On Monday, the Central Government reduced the number of subsidized LPG cylinders given every year to the beneficiaries of ‘Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana’ from 9 to 4. The government says that this change has been made according to the average consumption of families. Under this scheme, launched in 2016, beneficiaries initially got 12 subsidized cylinders of 14.2 kg each every year, but later the quota was reduced to nine and now the number has been reduced to four.

Let us tell you that all this is happening in view of the global situation. India’s economy has also gone completely haywire due to the ongoing war between Iran and the US. In such a situation, the government is trying its best not to put too much burden on the public. Under this, the government is helping the oil companies.

Petrol Diesel Price: Having a personal vehicle is considered common in many countries but the situation is completely different in Hong Kong. Less than 13% people there have personal vehicles. This has made this developed country one of the regions in the world where vehicle ownership rates are lowest. One of the main reasons for this is the very high prices of petrol, diesel, tax and parking. Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, let us know the price of petrol and diesel in Hong Kong.

Petrol and diesel prices

According to global fuel trackers and official oil price monitoring systems, fuel prices in Hong Kong have reached extremely high levels. The price of standard petrol is approximately HKD 32.64 per liter. In Indian currency it is approximately ₹ 348 per liter. Premium petrol is even more expensive. Its price is approximately HKD 34.44 per liter. In Indian currency it will be ₹ 367 per liter. With this, the price of diesel is approximately HKD 36.17 per liter. In Indian currency it will be ₹ 385 per liter.

Fuel is very cheap in China

Interestingly, fuel prices in neighboring mainland China are almost three times lower than those in Hong Kong. Because of this huge difference, many Hong Kong residents reportedly cross the border to China to get cheap fuel.

Public transport is quite strong

The biggest reason why fewer people own vehicles in Hong Kong is its efficient public transportation system. Services such as metro networks, buses, ferries and minibuses are cheap, fast and widely available. Most residents find public transportation much more practical than owning a private vehicle.

heavy tax on vehicles

The Hong Kong government deliberately controls the number of private vehicles by imposing high taxes. People buying a new car have to pay first registration tax. This can range from 46% to 132% of the value of the vehicle, depending on the model and price. Along with this, the annual license fee is also very expensive. The vehicle owner also has to pay an annual license fee depending on the size of the engine. This annual charge can be approximately between ₹ 50000 to ₹ 115000 in Indian currency. Along with this, the monthly parking rent for a normal vehicle can range from HKD 3000 to HKD 6000. This is equivalent to approximately ₹32000 to ₹64000 every month in Indian currency.

Air India Flight: Air India has decided to reduce flights on many of its domestic and international routes between June and August 2026. The airline has called it temporary and said that services will be restored as soon as the situation becomes normal.

According to Air India, in continuation of the changes that were already being made on international routes, now some flights on domestic routes have also been reduced. The airline says that this decision had to be taken due to the continuously increasing prices of fuel.

Where have the prices of petrol, diesel, gas and edible oil reached 24 days after the election results, how much more is still left to increase?

What changed on domestic routes

Delhi–Mumbai: 176 to 165 weekly flights

Mumbai–Kolkata: 42 to 30 weekly flights

Delhi-Goa (Dabolim/Mopa): Huge reduction in flights.

Delhi–Bengaluru: 116 to 113 weekly flights

Delhi–Kolkata: 70 to 63 weekly flights

Mumbai–Bengaluru: 91 to 84 weekly flights

Mumbai–Hyderabad: 63 to 59 weekly flights

Delhi–Indore: 21 to 14 weekly flights

Bengaluru–Chandigarh: 14 to 7 weekly flights

Delhi–Kathmandu: From 42 to 28, then 21 weekly flights

Big cuts had already been made on international routes

This domestic cut comes after the big decision that Air India took on international routes last month. The flight from Delhi to Shanghai is completely closed. Delhi-Singapore reduced from 24 weekly to 14, Mumbai-Singapore from 14 to 7, Delhi-Bangkok from 28 to 21, Delhi-Kuala Lumpur from 10 to 5, Delhi-Paris reduced from two to one flight daily, and Delhi-Chicago has been completely closed. Reductions of 15 to 30 percent have also been made on long routes like London, Frankfurt, New York.

It is being told that flights from Delhi to Kathmandu will reduce from 42 weekly to 28 in June and to 21 weekly in July-August. The airline says that despite all these changes, it will continue to operate more than 1,200 international flights every month and will remain connected to five continents.

Byju’s founder Raveendran gets 6 months jail, but why? Was once a billionaire, now net worth is 0

Fuel and airspace both are the real reason

This time in the airline’s statement, only fuel prices have been held responsible, but the real picture is a little different. Due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East, one has to avoid the airspace of Iran, Iraq and Israel, due to which the routes have become longer and the expenses have also increased. Pakistan’s airspace is also closed for Indian airlines, due to which flights to Europe and America are taking more time and fuel. These two reasons together have made the operation of airlines very expensive.

What options for passengers

Air India has said that passengers whose flights have been affected will be seated on alternative flights and will be given the option to change the date for free or will be given a full refund. The airline has appealed to passengers to continuously check the status of their booking on the Air India app or website as further changes are possible in the coming weeks. The airline has also clarified that the news spread on social media about cancellation of all flights is completely false and baseless.

Nepal LPG Price Update: The direct impact of Iran war and Hormuz tension is being seen the most not only on India but also on India’s neighboring country Nepal. Where, rapidly increasing inflation in Nepal has started hitting the pockets of the common people. Meanwhile, according to some reports, within the last three months in Nepal, a record increase of 60 percent in diesel prices and 28 percent increase in petrol prices has been recorded.

Budget spoiled in every house of Nepal

In fact, due to the sharp rise in fuel prices due to the war, the budget of every household in Nepal seems to be completely deteriorating. Whereas, a huge increase of 11.5 percent has been seen in the prices of LPG which is used for daily use. Apart from this, now people are most worried about how they will run their house?

Petrol-Diesel Price Hike: Petrol-Diesel should become cheaper by Rs 10-15, CTI makes big demand from government amid rising prices

Increase in freight cost recorded

Not only this, the biggest impact of rising cost of fuel is also being seen on the country’s transportation system. Where, the fare of public vehicles used by the general public has been increased by 20 percent. Due to which people are facing many problems in the cost of sending goods from one place to another within the country.

However, the direct effect of cost of freight transportation is now being seen in people’s kitchens. Giving information about this, retail traders said that due to increase in transportation expenses, the prices of fruits, vegetables, pulses and other essential food items are changing rapidly every week, due to which people have reduced their purchases.

Petrol-Diesel Price Hike: Fourth shock in 10 days! Petrol and diesel prices increased, price crossed Rs 100 in Delhi

Impact on the pockets of the general public

The situation in Nepal is very worrying at present. On one hand, people’s pockets are being hit the hardest, while on the other hand, all food items are becoming increasingly expensive. Regarding which some experts said that if global crude oil prices do not improve soon, then the inflation situation in Nepal will get worse in the coming days.

Petrol-Diesel Rate on May 23: Meanwhile, the prices of petrol and diesel keep increasing in India. This series of rate increases started from May 15th. There is an atmosphere of chaos due to the thrice increase in fuel prices within just 10 days. However, the situation is opposite in India’s neighboring country Pakistan. Here the government has reduced the prices of both petrol and diesel.

Shahbaz Sharif’s government in Pakistan has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol by 6 Pakistani rupees per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) by 6.80 rupees per liter today on May 23. This has brought relief to the people here to a great extent.

Why were the prices reduced?

According to the report of Pakistan Petroleum Division and Dawn News, due to the recent fluctuations in the prices of crude oil in the international market and changes in the Inland Freight Equalization Margin (IFEM) rates, the government there has reduced the prices by adjusting the base price. Here the government wants that the benefit of the slight decline in crude oil prices last week should directly reach the people here.

Weekly Review system has been implemented in Pakistan. Under this, every Friday night the prices are decided according to the global oil market. Since the international crude oil rates have come down a bit last week, petrol and diesel have also been made cheaper here as per the rules.

IMF’s condition fulfilled

Pakistan is currently running on the terms and conditions of the loan taken from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). One of the conditions of IMF was that the government of Pakistan should collect petroleum tax on petrol and diesel at an average of Rs 80 per liter. Since the government had already completed its tax collection target last week, now when the prices of crude oil fell slightly in the global market, the government decided to pass on its benefits to the public.

Hyderabad Petrol and Diesel Hike: Industry representatives have mainly blamed Telangana’s exorbitant Value Added Tax (VAT) for the high fuel prices. Where now 35.20 percent VAT on petrol and 27 percent VAT on diesel has been fully implemented in the state, which is the highest among all the states in the country. After this latest amendment, residents of Hyderabad now have to pay the highest price for fuel among the six metros of the country.

Changes in fuel rates due to West Asia crisis

In fact, due to the rising prices of crude oil in the global market and the West Asia crisis, the biggest changes are being seen in the fuel rates. Regarding which the oil companies have made this amendment after a long time of four years. Giving information on this, the dealers said that it was very important to take this important step to reduce the increasing losses due to global tension.

Petrol pumps will remain closed every Sunday, claim after PM Modi’s appeal, government gave statement

How much have the prices of petrol and diesel increased in Hyderabad?

After this amendment, the prices of petrol and diesel are touching the sky in Hyderabad. Whereas, the prices of petrol are increasing by Rs 3.39 per liter and diesel by Rs 3.26 per liter, due to which the pockets of the general public are going to be hit hard soon. On the other hand, after this increase, the price of diesel in Hyderabad has now become Rs 98.96 per liter. Apart from this, in Telangana the price of premium categories of fuel like XP100 petrol has reached Rs 163 per liter and XP95 price has reached Rs 120.33 per liter.

What are the prices of petrol and diesel in metros?

Talking about other metropolitan cities, Kolkata is at second place after Hyderabad (Rs 108.74). After this, it is Rs 106.64 per liter in the city of dreams Mumbai, Rs 106.17 in Bengaluru, Rs 103.90 in Chennai and lastly the lowest is Rs 97.77 per liter in the country’s capital Delhi.

So, in the case of diesel, Hyderabad (Rs 98.96) is at first place, followed by Chennai (Rs 95.47), Kolkata (Rs 95.13), Bengaluru (Rs 94.10), Mumbai (Rs 93.14) and New Delhi (Rs 90.67).

Fuel Saving: After the increase in prices, save petrol and diesel with these 7 tips, there will be savings only.

What did the General Secretary of Telangana Petroleum Dealers Association tell?

So, now while giving information in this matter, General Secretary of Telangana Petroleum Dealers Association, Vinod Vishwanath said that due to heavy VAT, the biggest increase in the prices of petrol and diesel has been seen. Not only this, on this subject, fuel seller Kunal Sonthalia also said that in view of the current tension at the global level, he is expecting an increase of 15 to 20 rupees in the prices in the coming time.

Trump on Crude Oil: The impact of the ongoing tension between the US and Iran was clearly visible for the past several days. Due to which there was shortage of crude oil in the global market. Even in India, people were seen quite distressed due to shortage of gas. Meanwhile, now a good news has come for the people, due to which oil prices may now decrease.

Trump took a big decision?
In fact, in view of the ongoing situation across the country, US President Donald Trump has considered deciding to extend the relaxation given in the Jones Act to further ease the movement of oil and fuel between domestic ports. Under this temporary exemption, implemented on March 18 for 60 days, foreign-flagged ships are allowed to supply energy to the United States. The ongoing discussion among the administration is trying to implement this exemption afresh. Which relaxes the requirements under the Merchant Marine Act of 1920.

What is Jones Act?
Let us tell you that Jones Act is also recognized as Section 27 of the Merchant Marine Act of 1920. This is a US federal law. This ensures that ships used to transport goods between US domestic ports must be American-built, American-owned and operated by American crews. ‘The Jones Act’ was first enacted after World War 1, through which the national security of America’s shipping industry and coastal trade could be protected. Sailors are also protected through this Act. Due to this act, in national security or emergency situations, the US government can give temporary relaxation in this law, as is being given recently.

US Iran Peace Talks in Pakistan: US Vice President JD Vance is going to reach Pakistan’s capital Islamabad shortly, where he will lead the entire American delegation. This visit is taking place at a time when there is immense pressure on the US administration to end the ongoing war with Iran. Deep differences have emerged regarding this war, from the American public to the administration itself. In such a situation, the biggest challenge before Vance will be to get a strong and concrete ceasefire agreement in Islamabad, on which the eyes of the whole world are fixed.

American public outcry against the war

According to Al Jazeera report, according to various opinion polls, two out of every three American citizens want this war to end now. People believe that this war has crossed its limits. There is a huge resentment among the public that due to the war, fuel prices are skyrocketing and everyday goods have become expensive due to the increase in energy costs. Inflation in America is once again going up, which has created big political problems for the Trump administration.

There is no consensus even within the administration
The surprising thing is that there was never a consensus within the Trump administration itself about starting this war. Many people inside the government were against this military move. Now these internal differences have become a matter of public discussion.

JD Vance’s biggest test
It is worth noting that Vice President JD Vance had been the most vocal opponent of starting this war from the beginning. But now see the twist of fate, he has been given the command of the American team in Islamabad this weekend.

Iran’s 10 major conditions on which the ceasefire depends

Iran has set 10 major conditions to end the war, once fulfilled, immediate ceasefire can be implemented on all fronts.

The ongoing wars in Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen should be ended completely.

The war against Iran should be ended permanently without any time limit.

All conflicts going on in the entire region should be ended completely.

The Strait of Hormuz should be reopened.

Clear protocols should be put in place to ensure safe and free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran should be fully compensated for the war damages and reconstruction costs.

Full commitment should be given to remove all sanctions imposed on Iran.

Iran’s funds and frozen assets deposited in America should be returned.

Iran should ensure that it will not try to acquire nuclear weapons.

15 conditions of America

America has set 15 major conditions for the agreement with Iran, through which efforts are being made to establish permanent peace in the region.

Ceasefire should be implemented immediately for 30 days.

Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Isfahan and Ford should be destroyed.

Iran will never develop nuclear weapons in the future.

A permanent commitment should be given not to make nuclear weapons.

The entire stockpile of enriched uranium should be handed over to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Iran’s nuclear infrastructure should be fully monitored by the IAEA and uranium enrichment within the country should be banned.

Iran’s support to regional proxy groups should be ended.

Iran’s attacks on regional energy infrastructure should be stopped.

The Strait of Hormuz should be reopened.

US sanctions on Iran should be lifted and the UN’s ‘snapback’ mechanism should be abolished.

America will provide cooperation for electricity production at Bushehr nuclear plant.

Iran has been asked to stop uranium enrichment domestically.

There has been a demand to limit the number of Iran’s missiles and their range.

Assistance has been offered for power generation.

A promise has also been made to abolish the UN’s ‘snapback mechanism’.

India’s Inflation Impact: The effect of increasing tension in West Asia is now visible on India’s economy as well. Due to rise in oil prices and global uncertainty, pressure on the Indian currency has increased. The situation is such that the rupee has continuously weakened and reached near Rs 93 per dollar, due to which a situation of economic uncertainty is being created. At the same time, inflation in the country has also reached its highest level in almost ten months.

Experts believe that if this crisis continues for a long time, it can directly impact the pockets of common people. Although at present it does not seem to have a major impact on consumers, but if the situation continues for a long time, there may be an increase in fuel, travel and daily expenses.

Possible impact on India

1. Fuel and gas can be expensive

If the price of Brent Crude remains above $100 per barrel in the international market, then the prices of petrol, diesel and gas may increase. Due to this, there is a possibility of increase in the expenses of travel and daily life.

2. Imports will become expensive

India imports a large part of its needs. Due to the weakness of the rupee, prices of food items, industrial components, electronics and other imported goods may increase.

3. Foreign travel and studies are expensive

Due to the weakening of the rupee, services like foreign travel, foreign university fees and international online subscriptions may become more expensive than before.

4. EMI may also be affected

If inflation increases, the Reserve Bank of India may have to be cautious about cutting interest rates. In such a situation, the possibility of reducing the loan EMI may decrease and the pressure of high interest rates may persist for a long time. Obviously the crisis in West Asia is currently showing limited impact in India, but if oil prices remain high and the rupee weakens, then its impact may gradually reach the common people through inflation, fuel and everyday expenses.
