A powerful X-Class solar flare has been recorded on the Sun on the night of July 1. The Solar Laboratory of the Russian Academy of Sciences has confirmed that this X-Class solar eruption was recorded around midnight on July 1. Scientists divide solar eruptions into A, B, C, M and X categories based on their intensity. Among these, X-Class is considered to be the most powerful category. The intensity of each next category is approximately 10 times more than the previous category.

What could be its impact?

According to scientists, during large solar explosions, excessive energy and charged particles are released from the sun into space. If the coronal mass ejection (CME) accompanying them comes towards the Earth and its effect reaches the Earth’s magnetic field, then a geomagnetic storm can arise.

In such a situation, some satellite services, radio communication, GPS and high-frequency communication may be temporarily affected. In some cases the power grid may also be affected, although the impact depends on the direction and intensity of the solar burst.

M-Class solar eruptions were also recorded on June 30.

According to scientists, a day before the X-Class explosion, on June 30, three consecutive M-Class solar explosions were recorded on the Sun. M-Class is considered to be the second most powerful class after X-Class. Scientists are constantly monitoring the activities of the Sun due to the continuous recording of large solar eruptions in a short period of time.

Scientists at Birmingham University are also studying the waves and vibrations occurring inside the sun. According to scientists, these vibrations occurring within the Sun may be related to the continuous changes in its magnetic field. These activities also affect the space weather. This electronic attack jet of the US Air Force can fly at a speed of about 770 miles per hour and can reach a height of up to 45,000 feet. Its range is approximately 4,400 nautical miles. It can carry up to 9 crew members. One of its main features is its advanced system, which is called SWORD-A. This system helps the aircraft to rapidly upgrade its technology and adapt itself to new threats. Because of this, it is completely capable of competing with modern communication systems.

EA-37B is designed to weaken the enemy’s defense. This destroys the enemy’s ability to communicate and coordinate with each other during war. Officials refused to give further information citing security reasons. The US Army currently has 5 EA-37B aircraft.

A-GPS: The Indian government is now considering a proposal under which smartphone companies can be forced to always keep active satellite location tracking i.e. A-GPS on. This step is being said to increase the investigative capacity of government agencies, but big companies like Google, Apple and Samsung are opposing it considering it a serious privacy threat.
