H-1B Visa: Now the name of another American CEO has been added to the ongoing controversy regarding H-1B visa in America. Till now there was hue and cry over increasing the fees for H-1B visa, now there is a demand to abolish it also.

James Fischbach, CEO of investment firm Azoria, has talked about banning Indians from working in America. Instead, he has advocated hiring Americans. Criticizing the H-1B visa, he said that it gives foreign workers an opportunity to deprive Americans of their rights.

Fishback against H-1B visa

James Fischbach had earlier come into limelight in June when he left his job at DOGE during the dispute between Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump. He had said that Musk should apologize to Trump for making baseless allegations and taunts against him. Fischbach has been a longtime critic of the H-1B visa. Ever since Trump increased the fee for H-1B visa to $100,000, James Fischbach has been continuously criticizing it in interviews.

What is H-1B visa?

Let us tell you that H-1B visa legally allows foreign workers to live and work in America. This is an immigration program, under which American companies can hire foreign workers. It is first issued for three years and can then be extended up to six years. Through this, foreign employees can work in various fields like IT, engineering, medicine etc. in America. The highest number of H-1B visa holders, 71–73 percent, are Indians. After this, China is at second place. More than 2 lakh Indians will get H-1B in 2024 alone.

CEO scolds American companies

American CEO reprimanded all the companies employing Indians. He says that American companies claim that they do not have Americans to fill the jobs, so they hire foreigners using H-1B visas. First of all, Indians should be stopped from being hired and our own people should be hired in their place.

Through a post on X, he said, the H-1B scam is hurting Americans, especially in Florida. If companies want to hire skilled workers, they will first have to stop bringing Indians here. They can hire graduate students from universities like FSU, UF, FAU, and UCF. These students are excellent and they also love their country.

Fischbach also says that American workers are more capable than Indians. He says, “Indians and Chinese think that they are better, but then they are exploited, so I have no sympathy for them, because they treat us like slaves in our own country.”

H-1B News: First tariff, then penalty and now H-1B visa, US President Donald Trump is being taken one after the other. Trump has announced a huge fee for H-1B visas. That is, now those applying for H-1B visa will have to pay an application fee of about 88 lakh rupees annually. This new decree of Trump has led to another debate. Industry experts, political personalities and many community representatives in India have given their opinion on this. Together it has been said that this step of America should not be heavy for it. They believe that India is expected to benefit instead of damage. On Friday, Trump signed a proposal to apply a prohibit hike for H-1B visa, which will be effective from Sunday.

What is the issue of H-1B visa?

So far, the fees for H-1B visa ranges from about 2,000 to 5,000 US dollars based on the size and other expenses of the companies. The H-1B visa remains valid for three years. Later, this visa, which was renewed, used more American companies to bring more foreign professionals to them. Many of them also used to belong to India.

According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), about 71 percent of the total H-1B visas approved in recent years have been released to Indians. Trump has argued that the H-1B visa program is being misused. It was designed to bring more efficient temporary workers in the US. However, this has put the jobs of American workers in danger. Outsourcing companies have used this program to replace cheap foreign employees instead of American employees. He described it as the issue of both economic and national security.

How will India benefit?

However, former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, reacting strongly to this, he wrote on X, “Donald Trump’s pric hike of 1,00,000 H-1B fees will stop innovation in America and will speed up innovation in India. Closing its doors for global talent, closing its doors, patent, innovation and next wave of start-making on the other hand Is pushing. ” Arguing, he further said that India now has an opportunity to understand the understanding of doctors, engineers and scientists and their experiences, which would choose to work in America otherwise.

Donald Trump’s 100,000 H-1B FEE WILL ChOK Us Innovation, and TurboCharge India’s. By Slamming the Door on Global Talent, America Pushes The Next Wave of Labs, Patents, Innovation and Startups to Bangalore and Hyderabad, Pune and Gurgaon. India’s Finest Doctors, Engineers,…

– Amitabh Kant (@Amitabhk87) September 20, 2025

Talented people will turn towards India

PTI, quoting former Infosys CFO and veteran investor Mohandas Pai, said in its report, the US will discourage applicants to increase fees for H-1B visas. At first, a limited number of applications are made for this because it is not applicable to those who are there earlier, so it can affect any person applying in future, new applications will be reduced. No one will give $ 100,000 for this, this is absolutely true. “

Entrepreneur and Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl also expressed his opinion and said that due to the new rules, many skilled professionals will return to their respective countries. He wrote on X, “A large number of talented people will return to India due to the new H-1B rules.”
