India Israel Relations: Amidst the growing tension in relations between America and Israel, a statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in the news. Netanyahu has said that apart from America, Israel is now forming new strategic alliances with other big powers of the world. During this, he specifically mentioned India and said that Israel is getting tremendous support in a big country like India. This statement has come at a time when differences between America and Israel regarding Iran have come to the fore.

‘Building new relations with India’

According to a Firstpost report, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned India in a recent interview with right-wing journalist Sharon Gal. He said, “You have to form new alliances and build new relationships. This is what I am doing with India at this time.” This statement of Netanyahu has come at a time when news of tension in Israel’s relations with America is continuously emerging.

Also replied to JD Vance

Netanyahu also responded to the remarks of US Vice President JD Vance. In fact, after criticizing America’s peace agreement with Iran, Vance had advised Israel that it should avoid public statements against America, its most powerful ally in the world. Responding to this, Netanyahu said, “We also have some other friends. There is a small country called India. There are 1.4 billion people there and we have tremendous support there.”

Why did the Iran deal increase the distance between America and Israel?

In recent months, differences have emerged between the two countries regarding the peace agreement between Iran and America. According to the report, Israel wanted military pressure to be continued on Iran, but after a long conflict, America chose the path of compromise with Iran and moved towards a ceasefire. It is being told that Israel was not satisfied with this decision. The Israeli leadership believed that it was necessary to maintain pressure on Iran. Tension increased between the two countries on this issue.

Relations between Trump and Netanyahu also turned sour

There is also talk of tension in the personal relations between US President Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. In the book ‘Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump’ by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, it is claimed that a phone conversation between the two leaders regarding the peace agreement during the Israel-Hamas war was very tense.

According to the book, Trump expressed his displeasure with Netanyahu and said that he had done a lot for him and now he should move towards an agreement. The report claims that Trump also used harsh words during the conversation.

Why is the mention of India important?

At a time when reports of differences in relations between America and Israel are coming to the fore, Netanyahu’s mention of India as a new strategic partner is being considered diplomatically important. However, defence, technology, agriculture and strategic cooperation between India and Israel have been stronger than before. Netanyahu’s latest statement is being seen in the context of this broader partnership.

Pakistan is worried due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday (February 26, 2026) that it is concerned about defense relations between India and Israel. Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said this in response to questions asked during the weekly press briefing regarding the expansion of defense relations between India and Israel and the agreements announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel.

Pakistan has given this statement at a time when Prime Minister Modi said that New Delhi and Tel Aviv will work on joint development, production and technology transfer in the defense sector as well as a free trade agreement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and PM Modi, after the meeting, signed a total of 17 agreements and documents, which will provide deeper cooperation in artificial intelligence, trade, investment, education, manufacturing, culture, maritime heritage, agriculture and other areas.

India and Israel also resolved to further expand their close defense partnership by working towards joint development and production of military equipment under the framework of transfer of technology.

According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, the US-Iran standoff and other issues in the region were discussed at the meeting of the two Prime Ministers and Prime Minister Modi noted India’s strong belief in the importance of dialogue and reiterated New Delhi’s readiness to provide support, if necessary, towards achieving a peaceful solution.

Prime Minister Modi also talked about the joint resolve of India and Israel in combating terrorism. He said, ‘India and Israel are absolutely clear that there is no place for terrorism in the world. Terrorism cannot be accepted in any form. He said, ‘We have stood shoulder to shoulder in opposing terrorism and its supporters, and we will continue to do so.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Israel for a 2-day visit. During this time, when he entered the Israeli Parliament, The Knesset, the entire house echoed with enthusiasm. As soon as he reached the auditorium, all the MPs stood up from their seats and welcomed him with thunderous applause. The applause continued and when the noise stopped for a few moments, slogans of Modi-Modi started echoing in the House.

The Speaker of the Knesset formally welcomed Prime Minister Modi, but even during that time the applause did not stop. At the same time, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached the Parliament House complex, the atmosphere echoed with slogans of Bibi-Bibi.

Prime Minister Modi got standing ovation

Israel’s opposition leaders had walked out of the House during Netanyahu’s address, but as soon as Prime Minister Modi started his speech, the opposition MPs also returned to their seats. This situation clearly shows that there was widespread interest in the House regarding Modi’s address. Prime Minister Modi received standing ovation several times during his speech. MPs repeatedly stood up and applauded to support his views. As soon as his speech ended, the entire House once again echoed with slogans of Modi-Modi.

Prime Minister Modi shook hands with the speaker

After the speech, Prime Minister Modi shook hands with the speaker and moved towards the opposition. He also met the Israeli opposition leader and shook hands and gave a message for talks. After this, many MPs started taking photographs with him one by one, while some MPs were also seen taking selfies. Overall, the welcome and respect shown to Prime Minister Modi in the Knesset was considered a symbol of the strengthening relations between India and Israel.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Israel and Pakistan is burning hot due to India-Israel friendship. Meanwhile, Pakistan may get further irritated after seeing the photo shared by PM Modi. PM Modi addressed the Israeli Parliament on Wednesday (25 February 2025) and during this he was also honored with the highest honour. After this, PM Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu went to the museum in the same car. After a long program in the Israeli Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a photo with Netanyahu on social media. In this photo, both are seen riding in the same car. While sharing the photo, the Prime Minister wrote that he is going to a museum after his speech in Parliament.

PM Modi wrote, ‘After my speech in Parliament, Prime Minister Netanyahu and I are going to an exhibition, which showcases the progress made in the world of technology.’ Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with Israel’s highest honor, the Speaker of the Knesset Medal. Parliament Speaker Amir Ohana gave this honor to Prime Minister Modi immediately after addressing the MPs in the Parliament in Jerusalem.

PM Modi’s historic speech

PM Modi gave a historic speech in the Israeli Parliament, which was the first speech given by an Indian Prime Minister. In his address, he expressed his gratitude for this honor and called it a recognition of the unbreakable friendship between the two democratic countries. This achievement further enhances Prime Minister Modi’s rare global prestige, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi becomes one of the few leaders to be honored at the highest level by both Israel and Palestine.

PM Modi received the Grand Collar Award of the State of Palestine in 2018, the highest Palestinian honor for foreign individuals. Narendra Modi When Modi addressed the Israeli Parliament, slogans were raised in his name. Even the opposition party leaders welcomed PM Modi with open arms.

In international politics, big decisions, agreements and strategic statements often make headlines. But sometimes the cameras capture a moment that goes beyond diplomacy and tells a story of human connection. A similar scene was seen when Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Israel. While on one hand this visit is being considered to give a new direction to the relations between India and Israel, on the other hand a small moment that happened at the airport went viral on social media. An interesting combination of warmth, friendship and colors is seen in this video, which has caught the attention of internet users.

Netanyahu reacted to PM Modi’s pocket square

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Tel Aviv Airport, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself was present to welcome him. As soon as PM Modi got off the plane, both the leaders warmly hugged each other. This scene was already being captured on cameras and was being shared live on social media. During this time an interesting moment came to light. Netanyahu’s wife was also present there and she also greeted PM Modi. It can be seen in the video that Netanyahu’s wife was wearing an orange outfit. The special thing was that the pocket square in the pocket of PM Modi’s suit was also of the same shade of orange.

The color was matching with Netanyahu’s wife’s dress

As soon as Netanyahu noticed this, he immediately pointed towards it with a smile and told PM Modi that both of them had the same complexion. At that moment everyone present there had a smile on their faces. PM Modi also reacted laughing and this light-hearted conversation was captured on camera. PM Modi agreed to Netanyahu’s statement on saffron.

Many users are calling it a symbol of India-Israel friendship while some people are calling it just a lovely coincidence. Some users commented that even in diplomacy, such spontaneous moments make relationships stronger. Many people wrote that this combination of colors seems like a special message.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to reach Israel shortly, where he will interact with the people of the Indian community and discuss important issues with the top leadership. This is his first visit to Israel since 2017 and his second visit overall. This visit is being seen as India’s growing role and strengthening diplomatic hold in West Asia.

India’s credibility growing in West Asia
In the last few years, PM Modi has presented India as a reliable and strong country in West Asia. Keeping in mind its national interests, India has given a new direction to its relations with the countries of the region.

Partnership with Israel reaches new heights

In the year 2017, PM Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel. That visit marked a new beginning in the relations between the two countries. Now India-Israel partnership has reached its best level ever.

Strong relations with Gulf and Arab countries

PM Modi has recently visited Jordan and Oman. Last year he visited Saudi Arabia. In January, a meeting of foreign ministers of Arab countries was held in Delhi. Recently the President of UAE also visited India, which was considered very important.

Maintained stance on fair policy and two-nation solution

India plays a balanced and impartial role in West Asia. Prime Minister Modi immediately condemned the terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. At the same time, India remains firm on its stand of two-nation solution on Israel-Palestine issue and has also sent humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Strategic Partnership and Respect

Many countries of West Asia have honored PM Modi with their highest civilian honour. India’s strategic partnership with many important Gulf countries has strengthened. A trade agreement has also been signed with Oman, which further strengthens economic relations.

There is a sharp reaction in Pakistan regarding the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel. Statements are being given continuously by Pakistani media and leaders. Islamabad has expressed concern over the growing strategic relations between New Delhi and Tel Aviv.

Prime Minister Modi is going to address the Israeli Parliament Knesset as per his schedule. Along with this, his bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also scheduled. The possibility of a big defense agreement is being expressed in this meeting. The political system of Pakistan has registered a strong protest regarding this.

Pakistani Senate passed the proposal
Pakistan’s Senate has unanimously passed a resolution condemning Netanyahu’s comments on forming a regional alliance with India and other countries. Pakistani MPs called it against Muslim countries. The resolution passed on 24 February 2026 said that Israel is violating international laws. The Senate alleged that the growing alliance with India is an attempt to break Muslim unity.

Hexagon statement became the cause of controversy
Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Hexagon statement is being said to be the main reason for the controversy. In a cabinet meeting before PM Modi’s visit, Netanyahu had said that Israel is building a hexagon of alliance. He indicated that a group is being formed with India, Arab countries and some other countries which will stand against radical forces, especially Iran and its allies. In the Pakistani proposal, this possible alliance has been described as a threat to the peace of the region and global stability. It was alleged that Israel is trying to isolate Muslim majority countries.

Conspiracy allegations and political reaction
Pakistan has termed Netanyahu’s statement as a conspiracy against itself and Muslim countries. Pakistan Peoples Party’s Senator Palwasha Khan presented this proposal. The resolution said that Israel, along with India and other countries, is targeting Muslim countries, which is a threat to regional peace. The Senate reiterated that Israel is violating international laws and its alliance with India is an attempt to weaken Muslim unity.

Heated debate in Pakistani media
The schedule of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel has been continuously highlighted in Pakistan’s electronic media. In many prime time discussions, the India-Israel partnership was presented as a strategic pivot against Pakistan and China. Experts and panelists linked this collaboration to both ideology and global politics. In some programs Hindutva and Zionism were described as a joint force against Muslim interests.

keeping an eye on the scheduled program
Overall, the schedule of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel, address in the Knesset and meeting with Netanyahu remains the center of Pakistan’s reaction. Islamabad continues to keep an eye on the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.

Narendra Modi Israel Visit: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his “dear friend”. In a tweet on his official X account, he mentioned Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming visit to Israel. Netanyahu discussed this historic visit at the beginning of the cabinet meeting, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

Netanyahu said that the relations between India and Israel are not just between two countries, but a strong and trustworthy partnership between two global leaders. He also shared a video along with his tweet, in which he is seen highlighting the importance of this journey. This visit will be Modi’s second major visit to Israel after February 2025. This is expected to further deepen the already strong relations between the two countries. Netanyahu stressed that the two countries are strong partners of each other in innovation, security and shared strategic thinking.

What is the purpose of the trip?

This visit of Prime Minister Modi is considered important in many ways. During his visit, PM Modi will address the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. He will also visit the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem and participate in an innovation event organized in Jerusalem.

There will also be high-level talks between the two leaders, in which important issues like Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, infrastructure and defense cooperation will be discussed. This visit is taking place after PM Modi’s first visit to Israel in 2017. That historic tour gave a new direction to the relations between the two countries. Netanyahu described India as an emerging global power and also mentioned his personal friendship with Prime Minister Modi.

India-Israel’s strengthening relations

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in clear words that India and Israel together are forming a strong group of countries who want stability and progress in the world. He says that the friendship between the two countries is no longer just formal, but is progressing rapidly in every field from technology to security.

He said that both the countries are working together in new areas like Artificial Intelligence and are also strengthening regional cooperation. Netanyahu expressed his eagerness to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jerusalem and described this relationship as special.

This statement has come at a time when India and Israel are more active than ever in the fight against terrorism, exchange of new technology and defense cooperation. Netanyahu also said that this partnership could become part of a larger coalition against radical forces, which could include many countries in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
