Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Sunday (July 11) that during the Middle East war, the Indian Navy safely escorted 18 merchant vessels from the war-torn area, which were loaded with goods worth about Rs 9000 crore. Referring to Indian technology and especially missiles, he said that our BrahMos surface-to-surface missile can be fitted in INS Mahendragiri, which is one of the fastest and most deadly cruise missiles in the world.

Rajnath Singh said that it has a combination of multifunction radar as well as long range surface-to-air missiles (Long Range Surface-to-Air Missiles), which is completely capable of identifying and destroying any threat coming from the sky from a distance. It has indigenous rocket launcher. There is a torpedo launcher. Apart from this, there is integrated anti-submarine defense system, electronic warfare suite and close-in weapon system. All these things make it as impenetrable and strong as Mount Mahendragiri.

India-New Zealand FTA: A big change has been seen in the relations between India and New Zealand. After almost 40 years, the visit of a Prime Minister of New Zealand to India and important talks between the two countries have opened new avenues for trade relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon have together prepared the roadmap of ‘Vision 2030’, the aim of which is to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries. Both the countries are trying to increase bilateral trade to about Rs 35,000 crore in the coming years.

New beginning in India-New Zealand relations
There have been good diplomatic relations between India and New Zealand for a long time, but on the economic front, the pace of trade between the two countries had not increased as expected. Now both the countries have prepared Vision 2030 to reduce this gap. In the meeting of Prime Minister Modi and PM Laxon, it was agreed that both the countries will work towards easing access to each other’s markets, increasing investment and strengthening business cooperation.

Profit up to 83% in 1 year! Huge returns in foreign markets, Indian investors’ luck shines in these countries

trade worth Rs 35000 crore
Most of the focus has been on increasing trade between India and New Zealand. Both countries want that business activities should increase rapidly in the coming times and companies should get new opportunities. New Zealand can become an important partner for India in sectors like agriculture, dairy and technology. At the same time, India can become a big market for New Zealand in pharma, IT, manufacturing and service sectors.

Tariff free entry for New Zealand exports
New Zealand exporters are expected to get the biggest benefit from the trade agreement between India and New Zealand. According to New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, 57% of New Zealand’s exports will get tariff-free entry into India from the first day after the trade deal is implemented. This will help New Zealand’s agricultural, food processing and dairy goods to reach the Indian market. At the same time, India also hopes to get better opportunities for its products in the New Zealand market. This agreement will open new avenues of trade between the two countries.

Gold and silver both became cheap, know what is the rate of 18K, 22K, 24K in your city today

What are the big deals?

1. Trade and Investment- India and New Zealand are going to focus on making investment easier for businessmen and promoting new partnerships.

2. Education- Both countries will work to increase cooperation between students, universities and research institutes.

3. Agriculture and Dairy- New Zealand is famous for its dairy and agricultural technology. India can benefit from this consent.

4. Security- Both the countries have talked about increasing cooperation in the field of defense and maritime security. This decision has been taken in view of the changing situations in the Indo-Pacific region.

5. Technology- Both the countries have also agreed to work together in digital technology and startups.

Are banks open or closed today, July 11? Confusion will go away from here

Giving a new height to their relations, India and New Zealand have officially given the status of ‘Strategic Partnership’ to the bilateral relations. Both countries have also approved ‘India-New Zealand Strategic Partnership: Roadmap 2030’. Under this, cooperation will be increased in many areas like trade, agriculture, security, innovation and people-to-people contacts in the next four years. This big decision was taken during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to New Zealand. The special thing is that this is the first official visit of an Indian Prime Minister to New Zealand after 40 years.

India-New Zealand relations get status of strategic partnership

According to a joint statement issued by India and New Zealand, both the Prime Ministers agreed to elevate bilateral relations to ‘Strategic Partnership’. Along with this, ‘India-New Zealand Strategic Partnership: Roadmap 2030’ was approved, which will become the basis of joint cooperation between the two countries in the next four years. Both leaders said that the objective of this partnership is to further strengthen existing cooperation, work together in new areas and increase cooperation in bilateral as well as multilateral fora.

Indian Prime Minister’s visit to New Zealand after 40 years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to New Zealand on July 10 and 11 at the invitation of Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. This is the first official visit of an Indian Prime Minister to New Zealand in the last 40 years, which is being considered historic in the relations between the two countries.

Target to double trade by 2030

Under ‘Roadmap 2030’, India and New Zealand have set a target of increasing bilateral trade in goods and services between the two countries to 7 billion New Zealand dollars (about Rs 35 thousand crore) by the year 2030. For this, both the countries will work together on reducing trade barriers, increasing investment and strengthening economic cooperation.

Agreed on implementing free trade agreement soon

Both Prime Ministers welcomed the signing of the India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and agreed to implement it soon. The joint statement said that this agreement will reduce trade barriers, strengthen economic partnership and will play an important role in increasing investment from New Zealand to India.

New Zealand will cooperate in ‘Developed India 2047’

New Zealand said that it will cooperate in achieving India’s ‘Developed India 2047’ goal. Under this, both the countries will work together in trade, agriculture, skill development, innovation, clean energy, sports and other areas.

Custom and trade process will be easier

Both countries also agreed to implement the Authorized Economic Operators Mutual Recognition Arrangement (AEO-MRA) by 2025 to simplify customs procedures. It will work under the Customs Cooperation Arrangement of 2024 and promote reliable trade.

Direct flights and tourism will get a boost

India and New Zealand also signed a Memorandum of Arrangement regarding tourism cooperation. Both the leaders urged airlines to take steps towards starting direct non-stop flights between India and New Zealand. Both the countries agreed to increase cooperation in areas like horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry and dairy. Under this, New Zealand will work on productivity schemes to increase the production of kiwi, apple and honey in India. Apart from this, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoC) was also agreed to establish Kiwi Center of Excellence in India and cooperation in animal husbandry and dairy sector.

Cooperation will be strengthened in maritime sector also

The two leaders also agreed to continue dialogue between India’s Directorate General of Shipping and Maritime New Zealand to strengthen mutual recognition of seafarers’ skill certificates. Both countries believe that this will ease the movement of sailors and will give new strength to cooperation in the maritime sector.

Actually, Second Secretary Pooja Jha was attending a foreign policy seminar named Rebuilding, Renewing Regional Integration, Pathways for Revitalizing SAARC at Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies in Dhaka on Monday.

Then Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs State Minister Shama Obaid participated in this event as the chief guest. In this map, Jammu and Kashmir was shown as part of Pakistan. On this Jha said that I understand sir, but Jammu and Kashmir is an essential part of India. This has been shown incorrectly here. So I just wanted to tell you this. On this, Ambassador Karim seemed to agree with this.

Here, when he was asked that the diplomat was from India. On this Jha gave his full introduction. Said point was noted. After this the presentation continued.
BJP leaders strongly criticized All India Imam Association President Maulana Sajid Rashidi on the issue of marriage of girls below 18 years of age. He said that India is governed by the Constitution, not by Sharia. Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly Babulal Marandi said that those who do not want to live according to the Constitution should leave the country.

Marandi said, “Those who had said that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together, they demanded Pakistan and India was divided, they went to Pakistan. I think if he (Maulana Sajid Rashidi) has any problem in living here as per the Constitution, then such people should go to Pakistan. If they do not have money to go, then the Indian government will arrange for their tickets but the Indian Constitution is in force in India and the country will run according to it. Indians will have to follow it strictly.”

What did Shahnawaz Hussain say?
BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain also condemned Rashidi’s statements and called them very unfortunate. Hussain said, “His statement is very unfortunate. We strongly condemn it. By making such statements he is defaming the entire community. He should not use such language and he should apologise.”

BJP MP Brijlal said – the country will not run on Sharia

BJP MP Brijlal said that the country is run under the Constitution and not under religious laws. Brijlal said, “Let Rashidi Saheb know that this country is run by the Constitution, not by Sharia and remember, it will never be run by Sharia. His statement that rapes are taking place due to increasing age is absolutely wrong. Earlier girls of 10 years of age were married and even then they were ill-treated. I condemn those people who repeatedly talk about Sharia-Sharia, this country is not based on Sharia. “Will do.”

What did Sajid Rashidi say?

Maulana Mohammad Sajid Rashidi recently claimed that the delay in marriage of girls in India is increasing the crime rate including rape. Responding to the criticism, Rashidi defended his previous words and said that his words were taken out of context and politicized. Rashidi, in his defence, said that he never advocated marriage of girls below 18 years of age and alleged that his statement was being misrepresented for political purposes.

China is building the world’s largest hydropower dam on the Yarlung Tsangpo river in Tibet, on which India is also keeping an eye. Now voices have started being raised against this project from within China also. This project is only 50 kilometers away from Arunachal Pradesh border of India. Tsangpo River of Tibet is known as Brahmaputra River in India. Xi Jinping’s scientist has warned that the construction of this dam will increase the risk of earthquakes and landslides.

Chinese scientists warned

According to the Chinese government, the hydropower dam on the lower Yarlung Tsangpo River is a green project to promote low-carbon-emission development. It said that the abundant water energy resources of the river will enhance the development of solar energy and wind energy in the surrounding areas and create a base for clean energy. After the completion of the project, it was said that the level of electricity, water conservation and transportation will improve. However, scientists around the world are already calling it a climate threat and now Chinese government-backed scientists are raising questions on it.

India has protested

India has repeatedly expressed concern over China’s activities on the Brahmaputra River. This can pose a threat to water security, impact on weather and people living in low-lying areas. Last month, research by China’s state-owned China Geological Survey was published in the journal Sedimentary Geology and Tethyan Geology. It was told that a seismic crack of the Paijen Fault passes exactly at the place where this hydropower project is being constructed.

There will be damage to surrounding structures

The researchers said, ‘The Pigeon Fault will have a major impact on the stability of surrounding structures including dams, roads, bridges and tunnels. Here, due to cracks under the ground, the surrounding rocks have broken and become very weak. Due to weak rock, the pillars of the dam cannot support the weight and its strength may be in danger. Because of this, the risk of any big project breaking or collapsing increases significantly.

Danger of mountain slides or landslides will increase: Report

Chinese scientists have warned that the structure of the land around the dam’s reservoir is very loose and the soil and stones there are not firmly connected. Because of this, the possibility of large-scale mountain slide or massive landslide has increased there. He also cited the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Milin, Tibet in 2017 as evidence that the fault still remains a real seismic hazard.

Also read: ‘Arrest or kill or I will still return’, Sheikh Hasina’s big announcement on her return to Bangladesh

In the neighboring country Bangladesh, the new government led by Tariq Rahman has made a major diplomatic reshuffle after 5 months, which will have a direct impact on India-Bangladesh relations. Preparations have been made to appoint Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh in India.

Asad Alam Siam is counted among the bright diplomats of Bangladesh. The interim government led by Mohammad Yunus also appointed him as the Foreign Secretary on 20 June 2025, thus he has been special to Yunus to some extent. Siam joined Bangladesh Foreign Service in 1995 and since then he has held many important posts in Asia, Europe and North America.

Asad Alam Siam has been the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the US from November 2024 to June 2025. Along with this, he has also represented Dhaka in the World Bank and IMF. Apart from this, Siam has also served as ambassador to Austria and Philippines. Apart from all this, he has also raised the voice of Dhaka at global forums like UN’s Vienna Office, OPEC Fund, International Atomic Energy Agency and Asian Development Bank.

Who will Asad Alam Siam replace?
According to the report of Prothom Alo, after Asad Alam Siam comes to India, Salahuddin Noman Chaudhary will be the new Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh in his place. Currently, he is the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations in New York and has also been the Ambassador to Nepal. The current High Commissioner to India, Riyaz Hamidullah, is being sent to Geneva, where he will be the permanent representative of Dhaka.

What does this mean for India?
In fact, after the coup in Bangladesh in 2024, New Delhi-Dhaka relations are going through a very sensitive phase. After Tariq Rahman came to power in February 2026, Bangladesh is reimagining its diplomatic strategy. Let us tell you that this appointment has taken place at such a time. When India is also very active regarding relations with Bangladesh.

Who is India’s representative in Bangladesh?
In April this year, India appointed former Union Minister Dinesh Trivedi as its High Commissioner to Bangladesh. India has given this posting a status equal to that of a Union Cabinet Minister in the Table of Presidency. This means that India wants to show how important strategic relations with Bangladesh are.

Team India is trailing 3-0 in the five-match T-20 series. The Indian team has lost the series after losing in the fourth T20. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is the most talked about in this series, has not been able to do anything special till now. Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut against England in the second T20 match, however, he could not last long in that match. Then in the third T20, he made a bright start by hitting boundaries, but his wicket fell before he could play another big innings. Amidst all this his biggest weakness came to light.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi had scored the most runs in IPL 2026 with his explosive batting and due to his excellent performance, he also got a chance to debut in the T20 series against England. He has made the record of debut at the age of just 15 years. His performance in the IPL was so good that his fans and many veteran players also appealed to include him in the playing-11.

Also read- Suddenly Sanju Samson took a shocking decision, withdrew from this T20 league; Auction is on 11th July

However, when Vaibhav got a chance, he failed to play any big innings. He definitely showed that he is ready for this stage by hitting a total of 2-3 sixes in his innings, but he also exposed one of his possible shortcomings.

In the third T20 match played in Nottingham, Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit two brilliant sixes in a row as soon as he entered the field. However, in the third over, Vaibhav’s lack of brilliance was clearly visible on Jofra Archer’s short pitch ball with a speed of around 145 km/hr. He tried to play the hook. He could not handle the extra speed and bounce of the ball properly, due to which the ball took the upper edge of his bat and ended up in the gloves of the wicketkeeper. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was out due to the speed of the ball. He will have to improve as soon as possible in playing fast pace and bounce balls. Vaibhav will have to change his game.

India-UAE: A proposal to lay a 1600 km long power cable between India and the United Arab Emirates is being considered. It will cost Rs 40,000 crore. Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave this information during ‘India Energy Storage Week’. This mega project is an important part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘One Sun, One World One Grid’ (OSOWOG), which aims to increase cross-border power connectivity and strengthen clean energy sources (solar energy, wind energy) in the world.

1600 Km. long pipe laying

This power will be only about 1600 kilometers long and 2 gigawatts of electricity will be exchanged through it. This cable will be directly connected to the UAE coast from Gujarat (Bhuj) in India via the Arabian Sea. In this, high-voltage direct current cables will be laid at a depth of 3000-3500 meters below the sea. The responsibility of this project rests with the government-owned company Power Grid Corporation, which will complete it in about 5-6 years.

India’s emphasis on global connectivity

The Energy Minister says that India is working on this vision not only with UAE but also with many other countries in the region. The first name in this comes from Saudi Arabia, with whom India has signed a deal worth Rs 47000 crore for an undersea cable project. Apart from this, India plans to expand the power grid network to Sri Lanka, Singapore and Europe in the future so that like other things, electricity trade can also be done easily at the international level.

Through this project, India will be able to export surplus renewable energy to Gulf countries after meeting its needs. Due to this, electricity can be supplied smoothly even in different time zones, like if it is night time in India, then electricity can be taken from Gulf countries and India can send electricity to them during day time. This will strengthen business in both the countries, strengthen diplomatic relations and both will progress economically.

Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) has been boiling for the last several days. Thousands of people gathered on the streets in Rawalakot protesting against the Pakistani government. To suppress the protest, on the instructions of Asim Munir, the army has stopped the supply of food items. Due to this, the leaders there have openly demanded India’s intervention. In such a situation, it is now believed that PoK is becoming a scourge for Pakistan.

According to defense expert Lieutenant Colonel retired JS Sodhi, hatred against Pakistan is increasing due to the way Pakistan has been committing atrocities in PoK. In the coming time, a big movement may arise in PoK against Pakistan. He told that these protests have been happening in Pakistan for the last 70 years.

Defense analyst JS Sodhi said that the Pakistani government and army have to understand that PoK cannot be forcibly merged into Pakistan. People of PoK want merger with India. He has said this many times. According to Sodhi, Pakistan will have to leave PoK on the same lines as many countries separated from the Soviet Union in 1991. The Soviet Union broke up and divided into 15 countries. On similar lines, PoK will also break away from Pakistan and join India.

How does POK operate?
According to a report by NDTV, PoK is operated from the Joint Secretary level office from the capital Islamabad. Interim constitutional amendments have been made in it from time to time. However, the local administration has little control here. This is clear from the list of 38 demands which are the main reason for these protests. After the formation of Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in 2023, all the demands were made together.

Who are included in JAAC?
JAAC includes local transporters, shopkeepers and common business people. Pension of retired teachers in PoK has also been stopped. Its leaders are also from middle class families. After seeking India’s intervention, a reward of one crore Pakistani rupees has been placed on Sardar Aman Khan. Panjab University lawyer Khwaja Mehran had accused the Pakistani Army of giving guns to Kashmiris, in such a situation it is difficult for them to survive.

Demands of the people of PoK
They are demanding compensation for those killed in the protests that took place in the last two years. These include those people who were shot by the Pakistani police for protesting against the rising prices of flour and electricity. Other demands include an international airport in Mirpur, better hospital facilities, lower tax on property transfer and allocation of Rs 10 billion to fix the dilapidated electricity network. Even though PoK is the main source of electricity for Pakistan, yet this area does not get electricity.

India has always claimed PoK as its own. Not only this, PoK is also included in the map of India. However, India is maintaining distance regarding interference in PoK. India has the right to intervene in PoK on humanitarian grounds. Let us tell you that protests are taking place all over Britain and New Zealand in support of POK.
