LPG Price Cut: The last month of the year, December, has started from today and on the very first day, crores of people of the country have received good news. Actually, from today the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder (cooking gas) is decreasing.

According to the latest data on the website of Indian Oil, the price of 19 kg cooking gas cylinder has been reduced by about Rs 10. In this sequence, from December 1, 2025, LPG prices in Delhi and Kolkata have been reduced by Rs 10 each, while in Mumbai and Chennai the price has been reduced by Rs 10.5. Let us take a look at the revised cylinder rates in different cities of the country:-

• Delhi- The price of commercial cylinder in the national capital Delhi has reduced from Rs 1,590.50 to Rs 1,580.50.
• Mumbai- The price in Mumbai has decreased from Rs 1,542 last month to Rs 1,531.50.
• Kolkata- Here too, the price of commercial cylinder has reduced by Rs 10 from last month’s Rs 1,694 to Rs 1,684.
• Chennai- Here the price of commercial cylinder has now reduced from Rs 1,750 to Rs 1,739.50.

Domestic LPG cylinder rates

There has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in India this month. According to the latest data of Indian Oil, a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is available for Rs 853 in Delhi, while its price is Rs 852.50 in Mumbai and Rs 890.50 in Lucknow. LPG cylinders are available for Rs 879 in Kolkata and Rs 868.50 in Chennai.

How are LPG prices decided?

LPG prices change every month from fuel retailers. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) generally adjust cooking gas prices on the 1st of every month.

In India, LPG prices are determined based on the ‘Import Parity Price’ (IPP) model, which includes international crude oil prices, dollar-to-rupee exchange rate, freight charges, insurance, custom duties and other taxes.

Additionally, the cost of transporting gas from the refinery and depot to different parts of the city or to remote areas varies, hence LPG prices also vary from state to state due to different tax and transportation costs. Generally, the cost of delivering gas is higher in hilly and remote areas, hence prices increase in those areas.

• From October 1, 2025, there will be a big change in the National Pension System (NPS). In this, subscribers associated with non-government sector will be allowed to invest up to 100 % in equity under the Multiple Scheme Framework (MSF). • The second major change from October 1, 2025 is related to the railway. Under this, only those people will be able to book tickets during the first 15 minutes of opening the reservation, whose base verification has been done. However, there will be no change in the time or process for ticket takers from computerized PRS counter. Apart from this, the authorized agents of the railway will not be able to book tickets for the first 10 minutes before the reservation opens. The purpose of these changes is to stop rigging while booking railway tickets so that the benefit can reach the right users.
• Classing the online gaming industry, the government has approved Online Gaming Bill 2025, which is going to be implemented from October 1. Its purpose is to prevent the addiction and financial loss of real money gaming. Also, e-sports have to be promoted. Those who violate the rules may have a three -year prison and a fine of Rs 1 crore, while the promoters may have a sentence of two years and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh.
• From October 1, there is going to be a big change in the prices of LPG cylinder. This change will directly affect the budget of the kitchen. Earlier, oil marketing companies had changed the prices of 19 kg gas cylinders, while there was no change in the prices of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder. The last of these changes were made to Delhi-Mumbai, Kolkata-Chennai and other cities on 8 April 2025. Apart from this, the prices of ATF, CNG and PNG may also change.
• From October 1, major changes will be applicable in Unified Payments Interface (UPI). These new changes being implemented by NPCI will affect Phonpe, Google Pay and Paytm users. NPCI can remove Peer-to-Pier (P2P) transactions, one of the most commonly used UPI features. This feature will be removed from UPI apps from October 1, 2025 to strengthen the security of users and prevent financial fraud. This information is given in a circular of July 29.

Commercial Lpg Cylinder Rate Cut: The price of commercial LPG cylinder has been cut in the country today i.e. August 2025. However, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder. That is, domestic consumers have not received any relief at the moment. From today, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in the country has been cut by Rs 33.50.

Cut for second consecutive month

This is the second consecutive month, the rate of commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced. After this, its new rate in Delhi was Rs 1,631.50, while in Mumbai it is being sold about Rs 1,583. Whereas Kolkata has come to the new rate of commercial cylinders from Rs 1,735.50 from today and around 1,790.00 per cylinder in Chennai. While the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is currently Rs 853 in the national capital Delhi and Rs 852.50 in the financial capital Mumbai. Oil companies said in a statement issued on their behalf that this amendment in the prices of commercial cylinders will be applicable from August 1 across the country. After this, the hotel including restaurants, other commercial establishments has definitely got some relief due to the cut in the price of commercial cylinders.

Significantly, there has been no change in the prices of domestic gas since 8 April 2025. There is also relief for those who are completely dependent on it due to no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinder. Its price is reviewed by oil companies at the beginning of every month.

Delhi lpg cylinder price: There is good news for Delhiites. LPG commercial cylinder has become cheaper in the capital. The prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have come down across the country. The rate of cylinder has been cut by Rs 58.50.

At the same time, after this deduction, LPG commercial cylinders in Delhi will be available for Rs 1665. Hotels, restaurants and commercial users will get some relief from this.

Apart from Delhi, the price of LPG cylinder has been cut by Rs 57 in Kolkata. At the same time, Rs 58 in Mumbai and Rs 57.5 in Chennai has been reduced on a cylinder. Let us know that this is the fourth consecutive month when the price of commercial cylinders has been reduced.

ATF cheaper for the third consecutive time

This is the third consecutive cut in the prices of ATF. Earlier, on 1 April, there was a huge decline of Rs 5,870 per kiloliter. Earlier, at the beginning of the year, the prices of fuel increased, but now this continuous cuts are balanced them.

Why are the prices decreasing?

The biggest reason behind all these cuttings is the fall in the prices of global crude oil. In the international market, the price of Brent crude has reached close to $ 63 per barrel, which is the lowest since April 2021.

According to the IANS report, Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil -producing country, has indicated that it will not cut any more and is ready for a long time of low prices. This can also weaken the power of OPEC.

India will directly benefit

India imports about 85 percent of its needs. In such a situation, when the prices of global oil fall, India’s import bill is less. This reduces the current account deficit and strengthens the rupee. Recently, the government imposed extra excise duty on petrol and diesel.
