There is big news for lakhs of students dreaming of studying medicine. National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory for NEET UG 2026. It is clearly stated in this advisory that if the required documents of the candidates are not correct and updated, then they may be debarred from the examination. In such a situation, it is very important to correct all the important information before applying.

What did NTA say about Aadhaar card?

NTA has advised the candidates to first keep the information related to Aadhaar card correct. According to the agency, the candidate’s Aadhaar should be completely valid and updated. Name, date of birth, gender, photo, address and biometric details should be correct in Aadhaar. If any mistake is found in any of these information, then there may be problems in registration or admission in future.

Form may be rejected due to wrong information

NTA has made it clear that if any discrepancy is found in the information and documents filled in the application form, then the NEET UG 2026 form can be rejected. Candidates can update their information online by visiting uidai.gov.in or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Centre. By having correct information, there will be no problem at the time of document verification and counselling.

Special instructions for disabled candidates

Disabled candidates have been advised to use the UDID card only when it is valid and renewed. Using an old or expired UDID card may cause problems at the time of verification and the application may also get cancelled.

Important thing regarding category certificate

Students applying from reserved categories SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS will have to ensure that their category certificate is completely valid. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates should be issued as per the prescribed rules and within the prescribed date. It is important to keep all certificates updated before application.

When can the exam be held?

If we look at the trend of previous years, NEET UG exam is usually held in the month of May. On this basis, it is believed that NEET UG 2026 can also be held in May. However, the final date will be announced soon by NTA.

The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has finally released a scorecard and final answer key of NEET PG 2025, this information is very important for all medical students who want to take admission in postgraduate courses such as MD, MS, DNB or PG Diploma.

NBEMS has given two big updates simultaneously

Final Answer-key-that is, the official answer to the questions asked in the exam.

Scorecard – which contains information about marks, percentile and all India rank (Air) of every student.
After the release of the final answer-key, there will now be no change in the result. It means that the numbers that have been found are the finals.

4. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Science (NIMhans), Bengaluru is at number four. It is a government institution located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It mainly offers postgraduate and doctors’ courses. The total fee of MD here is Rs 1.82 lakh.

5. Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow is in fifth place. This institute also offers postgraduate courses. It was established in 1983. Here the fees of the three years of MD are 35+35+35 thousand rupees.

6. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore is ranked sixth. It is a private deemed university. There are 7 campuses and 16 schools across the country. Here the MBBS course is taught at Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi. Admission is available through NEET. The first year fee of MBBS is Rs 18.68 lakhs.

7. Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi is ranked seventh. It is a government institution. The total fee of MBBS here is Rs 1,34,000. NEET exam has to be passed for admission. General class students are required to bring 50th percentile.

8. Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education Research (JIPMER), Puducherry is in eighth place. It is a government institution which was established in 1823. It is considered to be the oldest institution in Asia for studies of European medicine. Here MBBS fees for one year are Rs 6,600 and have to pass the NEET exam for admission.

9. King George Medical University, Lucknow ranks ninth. It is a government state university, which was established in 1905. The Uttar Pradesh government gave it the status of a medical university in September 2002. The total fee of MBBS here is Rs 2.46 lakh.

10. Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal ranks tenth. It is a private medical college. There is also a college of this name in Mangalore. It was established in 1953. The total fee of MBBS here is Rs 43.95 lakhs.
