Mamata Banerjee’s close aide and MP Mahua Moitra has expressed her pain over the political turmoil within the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Bengal. Mahua appeared very emotional about the party’s young MP from Jadavpur, Sayoni Ghosh, joining the rebel group and now she has come out in Ghosh’s defence.

In an interview given to The Indian Express, Mahua, while referring to Sayoni, said that her departure has deeply hurt me personally. He said that ability and hard work matter, but loyalty is very important. Some things have hurt me very much. She (Sayoni) is like my daughter, like my sister. If someone else had left the party, I would not have felt any pain. She is my daughter’s age and I love her the same way.

Mahua described Sayoni as different from everyone else. She said that I can guarantee that she is not a disloyal or taking advantage person. She has no interest in money as she leads a very simple life and is always working. Praising Sayoni’s ability, Mahua said that she has risen from zero to reach here. He is a very kind person.

Mahua told why Sayoni left the party
On Sayoni’s rebellion against TMC, Mahua said that fear could be a major reason behind this. Maybe it’s a combination of fear and other things. She further said that I don’t know what the real thing is, but my advice to such people is that I know you are scared, but unless we overcome fear, we cannot win anything. Everyone has their own destiny, but my advice to him would be to overcome fear, there is still a lot of life ahead.

‘Did the party not give anything to Sayoni?’
Mahua Moitra also expressed disappointment that the party which gave Sayoni such a huge political stature in such a short time, leaving her is very disturbing. He reminded that Sayoni had joined TMC only in 2021. In these 5 years, the party gave him MLA ticket, made him National Youth President and gave him ticket from a prestigious seat like Jadavpur in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Mahua clearly said that everything is fine in politics, but it hurts the most when one’s own people turn away like this. Expressing his pain, he said that when Sayoni can turn suddenly like this, then whom will you trust? When such people think of jumping from a ship, it is very disturbing.

No accused has been arrested yet
According to Manoj Tiwari, he had filed a complaint of this fraud in New Delhi on January 22 itself. Manoj Tiwari is angry as no accused has been arrested till now.

Considering the matter as a high-profile cyber crime, Delhi Police has registered a case under Section 66C (Identity Theft) of the IT Act and Section 356 (3) of the BNS. The person creating the fake account is being identified by the police.

Government will bring new law after abolishing MNREGA

The central government has decided to abolish MNREGA. Now there are preparations to bring a new law. It has been listed for discussion in the winter session. It has been named Vikas Bharat-Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) (VB-G RAM G) Bill 2025.

UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, “It is very sad that many children have lost their lives after consuming phlegm syrup. Our government never bought such a cuff syrup.”
